Quite possibly the best piece you've ever written @dhood and there's been more than many.
Moments such as these touch us all and remind us of life's little things. Joe21 definitely had the knack of bringing quite a few of us back to reality. I know he did for me.
Yes, there are times we argue like brothers and sisters... That's natural. We're all passionate, and perhaps protective to a fault in our beliefs. But when the clock winds down and we're behind, we find a way to rally behind each other and become one for the common cause.
There some on Tnet that rise above and become our voices of reason. Most we'll never know. But there's truly some wonderful "little Joe's" that are members of our Clemson Family. They might know they are, but they are. Thanks to all.

Clover65 please let me know how to get one of Joe21’s books. And I hope you will complete one to. Both you and Joe21 made Tigernet great. I would always look for a post from you and Joe every time I logged on to TigerNet. I saved many of them.
I hope you will continue to post great stories that have touched so many. Joe21’s awesome post will be missed.

threads over the years that Joe21 started (the ones where he told stories) and put them in a special place on TigerNet? Call it the Joe21 archive. Over the years Joe had some great stories/posts that always seemed to share a gentle kind of wisdom from a Clemson gentleman whose generation is sadly disappearing. It would be nice to have an area where we could read all his stuff in one spot.
How about it guys?

To a great man. His stories did draw you in and I felt like I was there watching it happen. My Father passed in 2017 and Joe carried on the stories from both wars similar but different to My Dad's stories. He helped me in so many ways to brighten my day and to really appreciate The Greatest Generation even more. Heaven got a Great Man. Thank You Lord for Joe.

I always looked forward tomJoe21 posts and was never disappointed. Our paths may have never crossed but wish they had. Some day when the lord calls me up I hope to find Joe passing out tiger paws to everyone in heaven. Tiger forever and would love to see Clemson add a plaque to his seat in Death Valley.

When I was living in Yulee a few years back Mr. Joe shared with me a tip on how to deal with extremely hard water ( having grown up with it as a child in N. Florida) and it was like my own grandfather giving sage advice and the kind you never could've gotten from a Google search. He had a great way of speaking. He was one of the best TNet posters , and I think everyone who read his posts would agree. Smooth sails and happy trails Mr. Joe. You are remembered...and missed.

The wisdom through his many stories was fascinating, Joe(Tiger Paw Man) will live on in our hearts until we soon join him in our true Home with no comparison in Heaven. Think of all the upgrades Joe got from the creator immediately in paradise, what a day it will be when we get to see and know God without a sin cursed world, no more pain, no more sorrow, no more worries with unfiltered true LOVE from everyone in celebration with our families. Don’t miss it guys, because it’s going to be gazillions of times greater than the best Clemson day ever moment all the time.
I smile knowing Joe made it home with cheers of great job good & faithful servant, we were cheering you on everyday as the Joe we know was living life to the fullest sharing wisdom with us all here on Tigernet to help us in small ways see life through the eyes of his years of wisdom(gold as Proverbs refers to it). We will miss him here but he now is joining in on cheering us to our home in Heaven. Joe cherished relationships & the many simple things he shared with us were always sprinkled with the gratitude that he had for each situation & everything no matter the situation. God, Family & loving one another where always his priorities & hopefully we can glean those wise thoughts & apply them to our lives. I’m going to miss you Joe and I know all of us(Tigernet Family) will miss him too but we will see you soon as we finally graduate from the real school of this life that will carry over in the next with loyalty to the Greatest team ever assembled by God. I’m praying for your Family. Friends & all of Tigernet to have peace, comfort & celebration during this time of grief in The Name, Amen
Go Tigers win this one for Joe, he would be so proud of you all!

Someone mentioned putting a plaque on his seat. That is a wonderful idea. David Hood - you know people - how can we get that done?? Maybe we could also fill his seat with Tiger Paws as a remembrance at the next home game, which by wonderful coincidence happens to be Military Appreciation Day!

Thankfully, last Friday I was able to visit this dear, sweet, kind man. He was more concerned about his daughter, Linda than he was about himself. He did ask me to be sure and let the people at TIGERNET know how much he loved them and that he thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the stories. I have loved Joe Cocke since I met him at 6 years of age. REST IN PEACE, dear man.

but this one being about our beloved Joe21 had to be one of the most difficult due to your personal emotions & the quick timeframe allowed following his surprisingly & abrupt death, and just weeks before you were to interview him in person.
Kudos Sir in that Joe21 must surely be smiling from Heaven.

Joe, as he as affectionately known on these boards must have been a heck of a Tiger. That was a beautiful piece to a faithful fan and servant of Clemson University, and I can see why the outpouring of emotions has been like it has.
The stories from the war eras puts me in mind of my own father who was born in 1918 and the stories from WWII and his time in the Navy. For those that served this country in that era, there are no greater heroes our country has ever known as far as I'm concerned.
Godspeed, Joe, from Hokie who never knew you, but is in awe of how many people's lives you must have touched in your almost 100 years.
