I honestly didn’t think this team had 20-win potential at the start of the season. Solid accomplishment compared to expectations, and tonight was among the year’s best efforts. Now need to finish strong and find way into NCAAs. That would make the season a success.

Why do Clemson basketball fanatics sit like statues? Especially fans like Cobb and Denise Oxford who literally sit on the court. Shouldn't court sitters be the most animated? Maybe that's why the team doesn't achieve-- because fans aren't engaged and don't care in the same way that they do about football, soccer, softball, and baseball. Success at any level in sports is directly related to how much fans care and show up.

It’s readily apparent that Cobb cares far more about feeling important and connected to the program than whether we’re any good. Mediocre coaches make time for him. Good ones don’t have the time to pose for selfies all the time. Brownell makes time to make him feel important so he can coach forever as far as he is concerned.

The team hustled tonight rebounding and playing defense. We came away with some 50-50 balls and played solid defense after each offensive possession.

We got more shots due to offensive rebounds and hustle. Offensive rebounds come easier against a zone. The passing was excellent and got us plenty of easy layups and dunks too.
But the defense was way better than recent road losses. Spurred some transition baskets. Took their big guy out of the game for the most part.
The game at State is a high degree of difficulty. We will not get calls. They are playing well. They have a couple of guys that can really score in the backcourt and the big guy is hard to handle. Saw them force Wake into a lot of turnovers in their game. We’ll see if we are ready to play better on the road.
