Time for new ideas on solving the TV revenue dilemma

Now that college football appears to be taken over by the two major mega-conferences with all others kept out of receiving fair TV revenues per year, the time has come for new ideas on just how to construct a more fair alternative for revenue sharing!
As only one suggestion for thought, how bout the NCAA be reorganized more appropriately with high quality and fairly represented management in place, with a similarly structured TV revenue subcommittee in place as well, and a three-tiered stratified level system be established for colleges, with Tier 1 schools all getting the same highest level of TV revenue per year per school per year, Tier 2 level schools getting the next highest revenue level, and Tier 3 the least. Beyond these revenues, all schools are still permitted to have their own respective supplemental fund raising as they currently do!
What say you?

No to anything NCAA. They are worthless. Asking them to help is the same as asking the Congress to help. All they do is take money and make things worse.

I think that is a great idea, so that all schools in each tier are playing on a level playing field. My mind it would be for football only, so keep the NCAA out of it or as you say totally reorganize them and this would be ran separate from all other sports. The two mega conferences will probably not go along with it though as they have CFB by the balls so to speak.

So you think the NCAA should be structured in a manner to protect schools from the decisions of their conference and school leadership?

The NCAA has nothing to do with TV contracts so give that thought up. Business is about about supply and demand and if there was enough demand for the ACC maybe the conference could get a better contract. If we, or another ACC team, wins the Championship in football or basketball, maybe there would be a chance for that new contact.

???
The ACC has 3 of the last 8 basketball champs and 2 of the last 7 football champs. That didn’t change anything…

Uh? How about just sticking with our free enterprise system and allow market values to determine revenue. More people watch your games, more money for you. You propose some neo-socialist plan where some faceless committee decides. Not a chance.

To your idea. Otherwise, I would agree.

Why would the SEC or Big10 agree to this idea?
