He’s lost his frigging mind. He’s either gone completely crazy or he’s the most incompetent $10 M dollar coach ever. If he continues down this path, Clemson Football will be cycling out. Everything has a cycle including football dynasties. Ask Nebraska, Miami , PSU and ND for most of the 90’s. It could be time for a new chapter.

Say what you will, but I honestly think he has peaked as a football coach in this era. Refusal to use the portal intelligently, hires family and friends, and won’t make hard personal and player decisions when it’s obvious there’s a fire burning. The guy has to wake up or most of what he’s built will be an ancient memory in a short time. We’re handicapped as it is playing in the ACC and working with much less revenue and NIL money than most big time programs. Now , on top of those challenges, he refuses to admit he’s made a critical mistake in handling the QB situation this year and will probably make things worse by CK transferring and a load of bad press to follow. He’s got “ I’m the smartest guy in the room” mentality that is unhealthy at best.

Unless you are Nick Saban in disguise I think I'll take Dabo's opinion on this program well ahead of yours. I'm pretty sure he has a couple more Championships than some armchair expert. Then again i could be wrong, how many National Championships do you have again?

Dabo’s peak was pretty darn good. He can get back there but he needs to adapt to changes in the sport and go back to the formula that got him here… ditch some of the loyalty and hire the best. It’s okay to have some projects as players and coaches, but we have way too many! Let’s hope he learns and adapts. Not sure he is going to based on his thoughts and actions this season.

Losing to USC is not the issue. Teams won’t win every game. The issue is we’ve got a Head Coach who has lost touch with reality. I understand he really wanted DJ to follow in the footsteps of DW and TL, but that’s not happening. To sit in a press conference and blatantly say DJ is our starter is a complete slap of CK and HJ and every other member of that team. DJ has proven he’s not a quality, dependable D1 QB. Period , end of story. To not be honest enough to address the elephant in the room head on is total BS
