Tigernet mathematical folk: what formula did Dabo use to arrive at 98.5%

Just sayin, 98.5 is an oddly specific number to just randomly pluck out of the ether. I've been rifling through old math textbooks all morning trying to follow the trail of bread crumbs... but nothing so far.

110% - 98.5% = 11.5%
Dabo has a bonus clause in his contract for winning more than 11.5 games in 2024.

It's coaching math. In Dabo's case, his offensive play calling menu has 100 different plays on it. He has called all 100 plays. There are 49 different versions of run up the middle. 49.5 different versions of screen pass and 1.5 versions of kicking a field goal. This yr. Fans have approved of the run and the screen calls. They have not approved of the field goal calls. Thus, the 98.5 fan approval.

Back in my day we considered only 98.5% of Clemson fans making noise while on defense to be slacking. It should only by 500 out of 81,500 (99.3%) not making noise and those 500 are assumed to be in the restroom holding something.

Y'all are all wrong! Dabo has a contract with 98.5 radio in Greenville. He has to insert their dial location into every radio show and press conference.
It's like a drinking game, only cash instead of alcohol.
