I have seldom seen this level of disrespect

For our coaches, players, and those who chose to transfer out as I am witnessing on this board right now. This needs to stop!
Coach BV is the best defensive mind in this business, any team looking for a HC would gladly take him right now. To disrespect him is disgusting and if you said it to my face I would punch you in yours.
Nyles Pinckney is a very good player that would be the #1 player on your coot team but he ain’t going there so don’t get too excited. Just shut your mouth and wish him well. Once a tiger always a tiger.
We don’t know exactly what XT is going through and it ain’t our business. Dabo makes these calls with the player and I for one hope he gets healthy and sticks around to kick ash next year.
We ain’t taking transfers because we don’t need them so quit asking. We need to recruit an O line that is cohesive to the team. Winning the NC every year only matters to bandwagon fans and guess what? No one cares what you think, especially when half the time it’s negative post about OUR Tigers.
Go pull for Ohio St or Bama, they beat us amd are looking for more crappy fans just like you.

A little crass, but you are correct.
I will say I wish we wouldn’t rule out transfers de facto. Take the LSU situation. Some of those kids had no idea what a mess they were getting into.
But more than that I trust our staff to know when to cross that bridge. They do everything they can to field the most competitive team possible, as long as they think they can do that without taking transfers. Fine by me.

For the record, it was meant to be crass! I come on here amd on the front page is a thread calling CBV “Vunerables”? This isn’t the Fighting Gamecoot Forum this is Tnet!
As far as LSU players, they all collectively make up the mess so no we don’t need any of that here.

I haven't seen any real fans disrespecting the coaches and players. I do wonder if, at some point, Dabo will rethink the transfer issue.

He won't. His culture of team, family, together, all in, etc., would crumble by bringing in players from other programs who push his recruits out. He will fix the line problem, and for those who want him to fire coaches he hired as "friends", you would have to show me when he let friendship determine a hire. My lord, we got blown out once in the last six years and some would think the program has imploded. Those same coaches have been with him on this six year ride so lighten up and start thinking.

Consider this, we took Wiggins commitment after he decommitted from LSU when they were exposed for cesspool that they are. What’s the difference between taking his recommitment and Arik Gilbert, who also opted out the same time that Nat decommitted. I just don’t see a huge difference in those situations and I, for one, would love to pull for a guy like Gilbert.

The difference is the same reason I don’t hire skilled labor from other construction companies. Bad habits are harder to un-learn than to teach the program to a willing young mind from the beginning. We spend a disproportionate amount of time discussing why we don’t do things that way and 99% of the time, when you turn your back, they go right back to doing it “their” way because it’s comfortable to them. But that isn’t even the point of my post. My point is that post after post of this same nonsense is an implication that Dabo and the coaches are doing something wrong. They are inadequate coaches, incapable of doing the job when the fact is they lost a game to a well rested, well prepared team.
We win the ACC every year and make it to the playoffs. When we fail to do that then let’s all discuss options. Until that time, and with these coaches performing at this level, it’s laughable to even make suggestions to these elite men let alone slur their names on a tiger forum

Mark Packer made a great point about losing in the CFP today on his show

Said out of the 4/5 teams that have made the CFP multiple times.. ALL have been taken to the woodshed at least once. Bama by us, OSU by us, Clemson by LSU, Oklahoma by Bama, Notre Dame every tim they play in it.
The point is, when you get to this level you’re not playing a scrub and any and everyone is susceptible to being on the wrong side of the momentum wave. If we hand em out we gotta be prepared to take one. It happens. Here’s to handing one out again next year!!

Spot on, these top teams can catch you on any given day. We can have a bad day at home during ACC play and still walk away with a win, but having a bad day on the road against a similar caliber team is a recipe for a boat race.

I definitely agree with your original point, I love our coaches and love our players, even the ones that transfer and the coaches that eventually leave.
But there’s a fun rabbit hole on the transfer side that I enjoy talking and debating about. To that end, I do think there is a big difference between an 18 year old kid that was duped by a fast talking used car salesman gumbo eating red nosed coach and a 30 year old skilled laborer that hops from job to job. The 18 year old is still pretty impressionable and moldable still, and if they recognize they made a mistake it means they are halfway to fixing it
But at the end of the day you can win championships both ways, and you can sustain successful programs both ways, so it’s all a matter of preference until it’s proven otherwise.

It’s amazing how spoiled one can get. Geez guys, your are the epitome of college football. Elite of the elites. Pretty much every fan base in the country sans a couple would change places in a New York minute. I know Clemson is somewhat new to being the cream of the crop but dang, quit being spoiled. I just hit the big 4-0 and somewhat new to college football but everyone who’s anyone can easily see that Clemson, regardless of the past, is at the peak of the game. Forget the petty rivalries but I get the feeling Clemson is pretty well liked by most neutral fan bases. It sure is from my perspective. I’ve enjoyed watching Clemson rise through the ranks and take their place among the best of the best. I’m a Nebraska fan and know all too well how it can come crashing down. Just enjoy, support and quit the complaint. You guys are at the top, the envy of most everyone. It’s fun to watch.

Dang it, Judge! Not now! This is serious! We are talking about football right now, not men’s volleyball!
I know you’ve got to be feeling pretty good right now, and I don’t blame you one bit. Love watching the way those tigers are playing basketball right now, the only thing killing me how hard it has been to get some of the games on TV! One game got passed over by the ACCN for a replay of the Clemson-Miami ACCCG from a few years ago. How the heck does that happen?!

Love BV but the last 2 CFP games have been ugly. We have to learn to figure something else out to defend these Os with great QBs and WRs. We cant get pressure and playing man to man against great WRs doesnt work even tho our CBs have been NfL talented.

can be so disrespectful, critical and all-knowing as to what needs to be done. The fact is, these people know NOTHING about the situation. The see a defense struggling and think "BV is not doing his job!" I bet not one of those critics works 20% has BV does and knows 0% of what the problem is!!
"it's been two years and no natty!" GMAFB!!
These people are an experts on #### they know nothing about! These people should also be careful what they wish for! "Major change" in our coaching staff or system will likely lead to worse results.
Spend some time on FGF and see what real program problems look like!

It’s simple...These are the same Clemson fans
Jan 4, 2021, 8:33 PM
|
|
Who leave early before the ACC championship trophy is awarded. They’ve quickly become so fat and happy and delusional that when we lose, they simply don’t know how to take it. The mediocre years are so far blocked out of their memories with the help of a decade of success including 6 straight Conference titles and 2 National Championships that they are numb to reality. These are the people who will have no idea how to handle themselves when the Dabo era ends one day and we hope and pray for a winning season or a nice Music City Bowl appearance. I hope those days are a long long way away but having grown up in Clemson, graduated, and still live in town, I’ve seen a lot of painful seasons. I’ve also seen us at the top of the mountain. We’ll get there again, but there are a lot of fans who are as numb to the good life as a kid who lives at Disney World.
All In! Go Tigers!

I remember coming on TNET this time of year to see
Jan 4, 2021, 8:38 PM

what coaching changes there were and what hope we had for the future. Not so long ago, when we played GT, all they would talk about is that every game was within a TD and GT would win a LOT and often kill our hopes for an ACC run about 3 games into the season!
Now I hope to see NO coaching changes!! Every year the team has a totally new dynamic and the coaching staff has to figure a way to make that work. A way to beat out 129 other teams for the big trophy. This year, we'll end up better than 126 teams.

I recall seeing the "Vulnerables" post and thought there is no actual Clemson fan who would post that. I think the man is the best defensive coordinator by far that we have ever had and certainly don't want him going anywhere. Yes there have been times where teams went up-tempo in order to counter is in-stride adjustments. In the end it works out more often than not. He just has not had in my opinion the guys that he really needs to make his defense function this year other than Skalski. I do think that the offensive line has been our weakest position group for quite some time and in my opinion that is coaching. Not looking for any type of overhaul, but in my opinion this is our biggest area of concern. The defensive backs I think have struggled this year mostly because of a lack of pass rush and youth. While I admit off and being frustrated with a few of the players there I also feel that next year with a full offseason hopefully they will be much, much better in the end. Go Tigers!
