Thoughts on OC, DC and Cade

OC: Felt like Riley finally got to open the playbook. He put Cade in positions to make plays.

Cade played great, but he made a couple of mistakes against a team that he couldn’t afford to. Not pitching the ball in 3rd and goal is a big one, but he made more good plays than bad and will probably be a Heisman front runner next year.

DC: Clemson needs to make Goodwin a CO-DC, he needs to be in the box upstairs. He is exceptional at planning, that is why Venerables wanted to take him when he left, but he doesn't seem very capable of adjusting when the other team doesn’t do what he is expecting them to do. Needs a CO-DC on the sideline to make those in-game adjustments and provide emotion during the game.

No they need to outright fire Goodwin.

Hopefully Dabo will hire a guy that will tell him no and have a pair when it comes to defense.

I think Goodwin is a great analytics guy, but he sucks at on the fly adjustments, he needs help, demote him to CO-DC, if he leaves, oh well, but he has insight that is valuable, otherwise Venerbles would not have wanted him. Being in charge is not his forte.

Examples: how the defense played in the first half against Georgia, SC, SMU. But he can’t adjust and when the opposing OC makes adjustments he either doesn’t or can’t.

Goodwin needs to go up into the concession area and run the beer tap they'll be installing during the off-season.
