Totally understand the competitiveness and landscape and how the pundits pick as well as the coaches. I know Clemson is just going to get better and gel more of offense which is scary good! They were rusty, Lynn-j (just as Dabo said is in Spillers loveshack!) was not put in to start or even until the late 3rd qtr against GA which when he was let in our offense moved more because he knows how to pick up blocks, our line had execution issues, Shipley (albeit a monster, is still young and learning playbook) wasn't picking up blocks same as Kobe, Ross wasn't running the correct routes atleast 4 times, etc...
Like Dabo said he's been mad after winning but this is a first to be happy after losing because our offensive woes we're from execution and mental errors! Totally fixable and was shown to be making huge strides against SC State.
Then our defense, God help the teams we play including the ones we have, looks like the best and deepest overall I have ever seen! I know Trevor's first year we were bosses but we did not have the backers, CB's, dB's, safety's to go with the 2 deep nfl line we had! It should frighten every opponent we go up against all the way to the playoff games! That defense is literally 4 deep everywhere and they can play!
So naturally like every other cfp era year the pre CFP poll's do not have a qualifier to be in the playoff specifically by rank. These poll's are a measurement of little to no stats and when the cfp committee puts out their poll I'll be interested. Until then I believe everyone has a case and opinion. Though I do not see Oregon doing a thing, GA got lucky but we will see how the sec shakes out, OSU can forget about it, Texas is laughable, Colorado is laughable, Notre Dame is a product of playing nobody again and barely winning.
So if I had to be cornered today on who I think would be in the final 4 it's be
Alabama 1 seed
Clemson 2 or 3
GA 2 or 3
Cincinnati 4
Outside shots leaning Colorado and Penn State (as always my disclaimer for Penn St... Penn State should not have an accredited University much less an athletic Dept after decades of letting a pedophile run rampant on their dime and property while endorsing him to go to various schools to hurt children.)
