From 1998 onward every team who won the natty in football with the exception of Clemson and FSU is now a part of the SEC or BIG 10. I wonder if the big boys pushed for pay and NIL because it would create a significant advantage for these other teams in the power 2, and Clemson beating Bama showed that a heavier thumb on the scales was necessary to keep the natty in house for the SEC and BIG 10.

Certainly eSECpn hated to see li'l ol' Clemson slap around and utterly embarrass Bama, the SEC, and eSECpn 44-16 on the biggest stage.

Something had to be done. I'm sure eSECpn used their influence as much as possible to try and keep the riff raff out going forward.

The officiating in the big nooner coming up should be on the level of the Clemson Super Regional vs U Florida a couple months ago. Dabo’s boys better be ready to forget moments they will get robbed by the big scam and make plays anyway.

There are athletic departments and team that control much of what we call college football and big money boosters at larger schools keep all of this in Check...the big money cats saw what Dabo was doing but they knew what was being recruited and money could stop Dabos little show...just show me the money...this is a blown up version of what happened in Miami 20 years ago...clean out the jail, raid the overlord section of Miami and flash some cash...mama wants a maids job at the Beau and uncle Tom wants to run a car wash! How many natties and how many coaches left just after the prize...the Schnel could not believe it...ten years before Miami could not beat U of Tampa!
