- 3/5 Starters named All-Conference
- One Freshman All American
- One lineman signs free agent contract in NFL

OL Coach Clemson 2022
- Coached offensive tackle Jordan McFadden - named the recipient of the Jacobs Blocking Trophy, given annually to ACC’s most outstanding blocker. McFadden was drafted by the LA Chargers
- One Freshman All American - Blake Miller

Will Putnam was 3rd time all ACC center as well….

So basically…
Three seasons …4 first team all conference players…1 top lineman in conference…2 players to NFL…

But Austin sucks??

Based on what?

I just listed what he accomplished in just 3 years as an OL coach…he’s only been our OL coach for one season…

He was an integral part of landing some of the best OL on our team….recruiting with Caldwell before his promotion…

Austin may be fine, probably is, just needs some time. this is only his 2nd year and he deserves a chance to prove himself at this level. When we are going against UGA, BAMA, and the rest of the SEC for the best OL it's hard for us to win those battles.

Now, we can still win Natty's as long as we coach up the 3 and 4 stars who we get and they need to be yard dogs who want to play OL but we have to have great QB and skill players to offset an average OL. If that part of our recruiting slips, we have trouble.

The idea that we have no talent at o-line is a head scratcher for me…

We’ve got more talent and depth on our oline than we’ve had at any point in Dabo’s tenure..

Probably the most o-line talent and depth since Danny …

There were circumstances last year which severely hindered our offensive play …but they’ve already been beat to death on this board…I won’t re-hash them

I expect to see marked offensive improvement this season and the OL won’t be a liability…

Austin has just started his job and IMHO has done well recruiting the 2023 class and coaching. The million dollar question is the Clemson standard. Is it making All-ACC with players who are not legitimate NFL prospects? Is it competing with UGA, Bama, and All-SEC OL's? The Clemson OL has been strong vs ACC competition and weak vs Playoff-level competition for decades. The PFF O-line game grades are just not there. And Swinney has adjusted with outstanding Defense, QB's and skill players. An OL with a handful of NFL players would put Clemson at another level.

As posted previously, I would like to see Austin, Riley and Swinney recruit the midwest - recruit the young men heading to Iowa, Minnesota, even ND State. Give these young men from the midwest a chance to compete for natl championships and move away from recruiting too many SEC/Notre Dame/Ohio St OL rejects. 2023 recruiting was a potential step up with the Tx footprint Reed & Sewell), plus Sadler and Owens.
