They are god awful against off speed stuff. Either they just flat out refuse to swing at them, no matter the count or the location, or whiff pretty much every time. It’s another flaw in Monte lees hitting philosophy.

Even my high school had a pitching machine that throws curves and change ups. Much less my small college. Clemson has unbelievable equipment. Not to mention fall ball and spring practices are pretty much all live scrimmages against live pitching.
So to say they don’t practice hitting offspeed stuff is laughable.
And of coarse every team is going to hit the fastball better, but most teams are better than we are at hitting offspeed pitching. That’s not going out on a ledge saying that. It’s obvious as it can be and I’m sure monte would say they need to inprrove.

They looked pretty good vs the mid Majors but our biggest problem this year is going to be pitching
