Hope Rory and Tiger like gravy with their crow. I'm sure Phil will be serving it up for them.

LOL. Phil is less likely to win again than Tiger is.

I was not referring to winning. I was referring to Rory and Tiger being the leaders on dissing on LIV golf and Phil for joining LIV.

This sentence sounds strange to me.

******* As part of the agreement, the three groups will establish “a fair and objective process for any players who want to re-apply for membership with the PGA Tour or DP World Tour” following the end of the 2023 season, according to a release. ******
Why would anyone in LIV, with all that money, want to leave it and re-join the PGA?
Maybe that Saudi Prince billionaire has decided he's not getting the ROI he was hoping for. Or maybe he has decided that moneysplaining isn't necessary or worth the cost.

I would take that to mean that any LIV events are cancelled

after 2023, and those players would need to reapply for membership to the PGA Tour, or else not have a place to ply their trade in 2024 and beyond. Would the Tour deny any of them? Probably not, but if I were Greg Norman, I sure wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an invite to play in any Champions Tour events.

Saudi Prince still is the money behind the whole deal, according to the merger. Much of LIV will be retained as the team concept will still be a part of the new merger and will expand to the PGA in some manner. PGA teamas may play LIV teams. I think PGA and LIV will continue to hold their events but golfers in both leagues will now get world ranking points, eligible to play Ryder cup and can qualify to play all PGA majors. There will probably be a major tv deal signed to broadcast all of the major PGA and LIV events. The new merger is designed to grow golf worldwide and is now a for profit business for all three entities, LIV, PGA and DP World Tour. PGA will have more control due to having more members on Board of Directors. However, the Saudi money will be the money behind any endeavor and will have first dibs at any new money coming into the new business merger.
At least that is the way I read the release.
I am a big LIV fan and have watched all of their tournaments and like them better than PGA. I also like the LIV gold announcers and coverage better.

To be fair he liked the idea of a World Tour but LIV didn't seem like the best option. I bet he is happy about the merger. It's basically what everyone wanted anyways, the people who took the moral high ground and backed the PGA are the ones eating crow. I don't think Mickey did that.

How do you see the PGA as the "High moral ground"...

They started black balling players when they didn't get their way. It's would be like a friend of yours tell you they won't hang out with you again if you hang out with someone they don't like. That isn't the high moral ground.
