worked at the Clemson Decorating Center and part-time at Edgar's at the same time I worked at Boll Winkles. The only real perk was encounters with drunken easy sorority girls. They'd go home with a bartender in a heartbeat but wouldn't acknowledge you on campus the next day when surrounded by their friends. Which was exactly how it needed to be.

I need to remember when I get home to take a pic of the staff T-shirt with the Tiger standing under the goal post. That one is sewn into the t-shirt quilt Mom-in-law made for me.

It'd have to be razed at this point.

Used to use a buddy's fake library card, with his picture on it, to get in there. Fake. Library. Card. With somebody else's picture. $6 pitchers of Pearl Divers and other young people nonsense.
Also, for one glorious weekend...the only legal strip club in Clemson history, when Diamonds of Clemson was open. BYOB.

I remember seeing Hootie play there to about 12 people. They did all 6 originals they had, and then started playing a lot of U2 cover songs.
Then there was the night I was there with my friends. They were all 21 but I was still underage and had gotten in on a novelty Elvis ID. So Officer Hand comes in and Beelines it to our group——one by one he checks every friend’s ID, then gets to me and says “you’re good”.
That place was just perfect.

I thought had changed to be the planning commission, but I don't know what it is now.
I once had the chance to visit the office downtown for a second then got a free ride over to the other building for a little longer stay that same night and into the next day.

Mid 70's it was called the Library. No popo station near by back then. The only popo was downtown. The thing a remember the most was hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the building was a round glass display of the Budweiser Clydesdales pulling the beer wagon in a circle. The place was all carpet except the dance floor. It wreaked with the smell of spilled beer as soon as you walked in. Do bars even have dance floors anymore?

that's what I remember, I guess those other places came later. But I never went there many times anyway. Nick's, TTT & Study Hall were my regular hangouts... mostly Nick's. Those places were easy walking distance from Norris Hall. I had a car, but never drove it. It was usually parked over in BFE with a dead battery, because it had sat there for several months...
