The only bad thing about this, if you want to call it that, is that we will not be able to better our final ranking vs our pre-season ranking, which we have done for the past many years. How many is it now? A small item in the big picture but it was a nice streak to have. Can't finish any higher than #1.

That is a good thing in my opinion. Lack of respect is like juicy steaks for hungry Tigers. Just being ranked #2, #3, or #4 entering the playoffs will be fine. We could care less if the Tide gets the mid season #1 ranking. We have no problem with Gamecocks fans boost them to pre-season #1 either.

Top loading the preseason polls has always worked as a barrier to protect there superior status.

The coaches poll is right-on plus Vegas has the Tigers as the odds on favorite to win the 2020 National Championship. Tebow, who is going to win it all this year- don't say Alabama. Someone send me Tim's address and I will send him one of these shirts. I'm buying a hoodie when the weather changes.

Before anybody starts popping the corks on champagne bottles...consider this....No team ranked #1 entering the playoffs has won it yet...not once! Clemson won it both times entering ranked #2, and Bama won it twice ranked #2 and #4. The #1 ranking attracts news clippings and magazine covers that motivate the #2 team, and risk complacency on the #1 team. I am not saying players will knowingly give less effort, but when you need players to play better than they ever thought they could, being told you could beat some NFL teams, does not push the players in practice. Seeing ESPN say you will likely get blown out, might prompt a few more reps in practice when you are exhausted. A few more pushups. A little more sweat. That is human nature...so please ESecPN, get back to giving Bama the mid-season praise, call them the likely best team all year. Please say they might can beat NFL teams. Say they are un-beatable and are #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5.Clemson just wants their spot on the ROY bus, with a chance.
