Only been sitting in the backyard for a year or so since an elm snapped off at 20' and mangled this thing. Really just needed an extra pair of hands. This was a nice 4 burner/sear burner/side burner stainless setup that would have made me far more sad to lose last year if it hadn't been almost wholly replaced by the Blackstone a year or two prior. Still...kinda sucks. The sear burner was pretty dope, could get up to 1,200 degrees F, so 30 seconds a side for pretty much any protein was gonna really tie that room together.
Anyway, buddy comes over and we take it out to the curb at 4:30pm for trash pickup tomorrow (today, now); didn't know if regular pickup would take it without having to call large trash pickup. Walked outside at 5:15pm yesterday to take daughter to recital, and the sumbish is GONE. Who are these scrap ninjas? Now I'm like "shit, maybe that thing was actually worth the effort to take to a recycling place."

I would say 30-45 mins is avg pickup time for a stainless grill

I just take it across the street and set it out and it's gone in 24 hours or less. A couple of grills, some rusted bicycles, horrifically uncomfortable patio chairs, a patio table umbrella that got ripped by a hailstorm...I can't even think of all the things I got rid of like that over the last 15 years or so. Never make the mistake of putting a 'FREE' sign on anything, that crap sits for a while. But, let someone think they're stealing it and it POOF! Gone like Mr. Scott sent it to another planet on the transporter.

Did you take a nap and wake up in your recliner later on?

You should have totally taken it to the scrap center.

Then you could have taken that $5.42 and bought 5 rolls of Pennys at the bank and spent the next 3 nights sorting through them with the kids to find some rare ones and turn that $5.42 into $6.78.
