The Clemson vs. VT game summary on ESPN website states this, "A difficult early-season schedule doesn't get any easier for No. 2 Clemson on Saturday when it visits No. 12 Virginia Tech."
No respect ever.
Could have been stated, "A walk in the park early-season schedule gets exponentially more difficult for the yet to be tested No. 12 Virginia Tech on Saturday when it hosts No. 2 Clemson."

and maybe I'm slow...
but maybe Corso intentionally picks the loser just to give them one thing to feel good about? Like, maybe he's not just really really bad at reading football teams but maybe he's just trying to give them one pick-me-up to counter-act the coming beat-down? I dunno.

That's pretty impressive over the time span.

Corso has picked VT four out of the five times Gameday has been at VT. The one time he picked against us was the BCA Classic against GT in 2000. Right as the team took the field, the heavens opened up and a massive thunderstorm ended up cancelling the game altogether. When Corso got back to his rental car, it had been hit by lightning and was dead as a doornail.
True story.

However, it isn't the only time Corso ever picked against VT with the headgear. In 2005, he picked Miami (who was the underdog) and the Canes managed to completely dismantle us in Lane. The final was 27-7... and the game was worse than the score indicates.

Wish things such as that was the only thing that I had to complain about. If ESPN completely ignored the Tigers it would be a different matter but Clemson will be mentioned dozens of times on tv today .
The Tigers are at the very top in college football... enjoy it.

You have to remember ABC-ESPiN is an entertainment business. They need to build drama to ensure eyes on the screens during the broadcast. As the days close in on the game the talking heads will pick Clemson as the favorite but just by a hair.
