They've already passed us unfortunately. A very good friend of mine wrote a piece on this today, now China now produces the most scientific publications, followed by the US, then India. That MAGA delusion is actually a cultural revolution that's going to make us third world unless we do something soon. He's smarter than anybody you've probably ever met, NAE fellow who technically is supposed to advise the president and congress if they are willing to listen. I haven't met the new white house science advisor, but I have to assume he's a moron, albeit a moron from SC.

This is actually ridiculous

Try to compare Biden's science advisor to Trump's. It's not really possible. A real and accomplished scientist and engineer vs another Thiel paramour.

It's a little fishy that a guy with no formal education or working background in any type of science or engineering is the White House Science Advisor. He was a staffer and close friend of Thiel, just like Jimmy.

Not really that hard to do. We wnt from no.1 in the world in reading, writing, and arithmetic. To no. 40 or something like that. In one generation. That being said. China are intellectual pirates and are really poor copy cats. Rebuild our educational system and we will be back on top within another generation.

I don't think we were ever number 1 in reading, writing, and arithmetic. Definitely not a generation ago. Definitely not 40 years ago (two generations?).

Please provide a source for those statistics.

Unless, of course, you're just making them up, or repeating what bounces around in the chamber.

None of that sez China wants/needs a deal, or Trump's strategy is working.

Things Xi is worried about vs what Trump is worried about:
1) Voters losing confidence: Xi: No Trump: Yes
2) Their party losing some power in 2026: Xi: No Trump: Yes (control of House)
3) Key near-term policy changes in jeopardy: Xi: No Trump: Yes (extending tax cuts)
4) Multiple trade negotiations to navigate successfully: Xi: No Trump: 17 or 200, depending on source

Baby steps but Xi has his own problems. I guess we will have to wait and see. Trump despite his flaws knows how to negotiate. Usually from a position of strength. We shall see.

Has he actually ever won a negotiation? Except for all the negotiations he made to avoid paying his debts? He's one of the biggest losers in all of American history.

Why do left wing trash always root for our enemies to prevail in pretty much every scenario?

The biggest danger to America right now is Donald Trump. Your worship of him has made you give up all of your morals and values, if you ever had any. With Trumpers, lying, cheating, stealing, defrauding, ######, attacking the government, and trying to destroy the constitution are all good things. They no longer understand the difference between right and wrong.

Good lawd man...pointing out that Trump may not have the great...

negotiating track record that his supporters think he does is NOT rooting for our enemies to prevail. That's an idiotic false equivalence.

Seriously, why do you constantly say crap like that? It seems to be a sign of lack of debate skills in that you seem to often jump to absurdity instead of making a real point.
