Grisham and receivers

I have seen over and over non fans calling for Coach Grisham to be fired but are those folks seeing the picture. The publicity slogan of WRU was not a reality and certainly that has been the case lately but how much of that is on Grisham? Coach Grisham has only been here 3 years so he has not recruited long enough to have a chance. The people who call for Grisham's head and want Jeff Scott back should look at the rosters of the NFL teams to get the picture. Our best years were during the years Coach Scott was here(2008-2019) so we should have many WRs in the league that were coached or recruited by him right?

Here is the list:
Nuk Hopkins left early after 2012
Mike Williams left early after 2105
Ray Ray McCloud left early after 2017
Tee Higgins left early 2019

We lost several receivers to the Portal that Coach Scott recruited and had several that made it to the NFL, Amari, Hunter and Powell but it was never every receiver that he recruited. I do not know if Grisham will make it but at least give him a chance and give our current receivers a chance.

This is Grisham's fifth season as WR coach

People who aren't "Non-Fans" would know that.

For me it comes down to 2 things with

Grisham. Development and effort. Don't see either since he's been here. The WR's you mentioned from Scott era were all dogs. They blocked like lineman, they fought for balls, etc..... Haven't seen it in years.

Those are the only 4 examples of successful WR you can come up with during Scott's tenure? And why is NFL longevity the thing you are using to justify whatever ridiculous argument you are trying to make?

Here's the actual list of WRs drafted during Scott's tenure:

Jacoby Ford
Deandre Hopkins
Martavis Bryant
Sammy Watkins
Charone Peake
Mike Williams
Ray-Ray McCloud
Deon Cain
Hunter Renfrow
Tee Higgins
Cornell Powell
Amari Rodgers

In addition to those guys, these WR also made NFL rosters:
Jaron Brown
Adam Humphries
Justyn Ross

Pretty much all those guys listed were

dogs, that blocked and have all effort. That's the difference in the last few years

Man. I miss tough slot guys like Amari and Artavis Scott. They were bullies!

A. Scott also had NFL tenure btw.

I don’t think Scott ever made a game-day roster. I left guys like that off the list. There are a few more who made practice squads.

we didn't lose them to the portal. They went to the NFL. Get your facts straight.

Why do people keep crawling out of the woodwork to defend this clown? He has done literally nothing to earn his salary. I would love to see an objective, or even coherent argument for why he should stay other than he’s Dabo’s BFF

Name a wr that has gotten better since he became the wr coach. And tell me who the best wr was on the roster every year he was the wr coach.

Every year the best wr on the roster while Grisham has been here was a wr he hadn't coached yet.....pretty damning indictment imo

Not facts at all. There were a lot more WR's in the NFL that have since retired or left the league. If you think Grisham is an acceptable WR Coach along with Cole Stoudt, a QB, you have some self-evaluation to do.

Men at 25 play football. Men at 40 play tennis. Men at 60 play golf. Have you noticed as men get older their balls get smaller.

After all

Don’t try and call me a non fan I keep up with e writhing clemson, I’m a life time donor and go to every home game! You are blind if you think Grisham, drew Swinney, and a qb cole 3 and out stoudt is a WR coaching room of a top program!!! It’s time to just say it was a failure hiring all these ex players. Austin didn’t work and Luke is already made that same line look better and you’re telling me if we went out and got a proven WR coach then nothing would change? I mean old staff didn’t miss on this many guys and tbh I think a lot of it is development!

Yes. Your post and take are poor examples of understanding, analysis, research, and foresight

Don't fret.
You can try again.

Just don't block
yourself from trying harder or
stop short or even quit on continuing your route towards sharing your opinion. And don't worry if you can't separate from a member of the opposition
who is staying close to your effort. But please
reach higher and fight to catch success. Might want to highpoint your effort so that you fight to the fullest.

Just a thought.
