Who will it be to bring the ACC to 18? What area of the country are we missing, as we'd have the East coast, West coast and Texas!!! What Midwestern school could we secure to be the FIRST national conference, ahead of the B1G? Northern Iowa? Nah, corn doesn't watch football. Southern Illinois? Nah, everyone lives in Chicago. Toledo? Ohio U.? Kent? Who really IS the Ohio state university? Western or Eastern Michigan? We Are Marshall? Take me back to Tulsa? Could we go international, add the U. of Quebec, and play Canadian football rules north of the border!?

Swaffie did all he could to ruin a perfectly good conference. He created and environment which promotes schools collecting a fat paycheck for doing nothing to contribute to the conference income.

This conversation of expanding across country is ridiculous. It might make Swofford's errors seem minute in time. You think the cost of the sporting programs being absurd--just wait until you are sending the Olympic sports programs to the West Coast or Texas for conference matchups. Surely some of the ACC University leaders have more sense than to go this route. And Swofford was the gent telling us that having ND in ACC except for football was good for the conference member schools.

What about ECU from "The Program"?? They have great history with players like Joe Cain, Lattimer, Jefferson and could arguably be the next LBU behind Clemson with the great Alvin Mack. It was unfortunate what happened to him.
That is a great movie and still love watching it even today...
Ironically, the campus scenes were shot at Duke and unfortunately, the stadium shots were in Columbia.
Or even the Mud Dogs from the awful state of LA.... we do have to avenge that 3-2 loss we had to them during the Waterboy's season.

Adding more garbage teams will not make you a super confrence. It just expands what you already are. The only team that might be interested in joining that would be an improvement would be West Virginia...but I think the ACC blew their chance to get the them.
