WOWWWW did not expect that really. Hopefully a situation where he gauges his interest and returns like former players have done recently.

With the current rules there's absolutely no reason for a guy like him not to. At the very least go through the process and get the feedback.

I suspect he could help himself a lot next year if he could be healthy and take a step forward like Tyson did this past season - +5.5 points per game gain, +4 rebounds per game. That would put PJ at 20/10 and might make him first round material if his percentages stay up.

He's unlikely to get a first round grade.
I'm sure he's just testing the waters.
Not saying he couldn't have an NBA career, just that he's unlikely to be a high draft pick.

Don't we want to retain Brownell so we keep PJ Hall?

I thought that was the story.

I saw this morning it was so that we don't have to worry about losing the group of freshman we had this year. They seem to be decent players, but I'm not sure there is a sure-fire star among them.

I don't know who is advising him but I don't think that makes a lot of sense. Does the NBA grade these guys out like the NFL does and give them some kind of projection on their draft status?

That’s my understanding. They can return as long as they don’t hire an agent.

Think he needs one more year to get bigger as got pushed around this year.If he leaves there goes the upper half finish for Clemson next year. Bach to being a bottom feeder with our 14 year coach. PJ was the big difference this year as we don’t usually have an inside presence to stretch defenses. Really disappointed.😖

Considering the fact that we average about 7th place in the ACC

during Brad’s tenure, and we’re #5 in the ACC in wins since 2017, I’m curious to know why you think we would return to being a “bottom feeder.”

Funny thing about averages...
Last 5 years: 8th, 9th, 5th, 10th, 3rd is "average of 7th", with variance of 8.5!
That's a lot different than say: 7th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 7th, also has a mean of 7th, with variance of 0.5.
Or even: 9th 8th 7th 6th 5th, which also has a mean of 7th, but shows a positive trend and a variance of 2.5
A few more years of 8th, 9th, 10th tends to be "the bottom", although the expanded and weaker ACC, 8th is ALMOST upper half. But CBB's numbers do NOT indicate an overall positive trend, as the high variance means that it's hard to be certain that any perceived trend is real or not.
Also, the last 5 years included 2 losing ACC seasons, 2 winning ACC seasons, and one 9-9 season. Actually, in order: 9-9, 9-11, 10-6, 8-12, 14-10. Again, this sort of whipsawing is not the hallmark indicative of any sort of positive trend.

100% correct. The double teams by UVA and Morehead completely stifled him. Not NBA material. Israel or Germany.
