So it would seem the Libertarians...

...are not on board with Donald Trump.

The thing about fiercely independent people is, they're equal-opportunity pains in the ####. For everyone. And since by definition a ferociously independent person is not tribal - I mean, pretty much the entire Libertarian political philosophy can be summed up in two words, those being "f$%^ off" - if you want their vote, you'd better have something better to sell than faux populism and transparent lies.

Donald Trump has nothing to sell but faux populism and transparent lies. He never has. And his attempt to faux populize and tell transparent lies to the LP went about as well as anybody who actually understands the distinction between the far right and genuine libertarianism would have expected.

Rock on, Donald. <img border=">">

The biggest problem I have with Joe Biden is that he's the absolute poster boy for the sort of mealy-mouthed careerist politician who so frustrated Americans enough that we eventually got Donald Trump.

I don't blame Trump's supporters for being frustrated with Washington. At all. The lot of the blue-collar working class has degenerated for decades, aided along by Dems who - usually falsely - claim to be the champions of ordinary John Q. Taxpayer, all while living the good life in DC and eating like hogs on the public dime.

The problem is, populism is even worse. Actual reform, in my experience, is hard, slow, and requires patience, consistency, and a methodical approach...so populists short-circuit all that. They can give you everything and they can give it to you right now. (Or so they say.) The reason you're having trouble, see, is because of these people over here - fill in the blanks, but gays and immigrants always play - and all you gotta do to live in a land of milk and honey is obliterate those bastages. And for the haters, the fearful, and frankly, the unsophisticated sheep who so dearly love to throw that disparaging term at anyone who is not them (including, ironically, the actual independents) - that's music to their ears.

Mind, I don't see how that's any kind of actual solution, and look no further than places like Hungary or Turkey or Russia where that kind of far-right faux populism is winning to see just how Not-A-Solution populism (or faux populism) is. Those are the worst places in Europe and all of South America and Africa are pretty much like that. Populists don't have any sort of actual ideas or any interest in governing, they're just mean-spirited bullies who lob grenades and froth at the mouth WWE-style whenever the cameras are pointed at them. (And stuff their pockets as fast as they can shovel when the cameras aren't pointed at them.)

I mean, an actual outright con man who was a gay Brazilian drag queen got himself elected to the House as a "conservative" this past term. Which is freakin' absurd, but here we are.

Trump lost to Biden because people were tired of Trump and hoped Biden would lessen the chaos, bring some competence to governing and unite the country.

Biden may well lose to Trump because Biden has not tried to unify the country, but instead has railed against about half the country. He tells us we are doing great economically when people know their dollar does not go near as far.

Biden has weakened our national security by not reversing his executive orders which are flooding us with unvetted people from across the globe.

After almost 4 years of Biden, people are willing to try almost anything including the chaos and unpredictability of Trump.

That is totally on Joe Biden. Had he kept the left at bay, been more of a unifier and showed just a bit of empathy towards hard working folks instead of telling them that things are swell, he would be cruising towards reelection.

That is the tell that Biden is lying. He repeated his claim of not taking a Naval Academy appointment because he didn’t want to play football there since Navy was bringing on Roger Staubach at QB and Joe Bellino at HB, neither position Joe played.

I mean who would want to play with Roger as QB?

He has to do better as a liar. When he finishes a lie with “no joke,” he has confirmed the lie.

He's a predictable authoritarian.

I'm not going to sit here and do a point-by-point. But Biden will accept the outcome of an election. Trump will not.

And I'm not saying that as a hypothetical. We have actual examples of that. If we elect Trump again, our Democracy is very much at risk. And honestly, it will be at risk even if Biden wins, because I'm not sure Republicans in swing states will certify a Biden victory in their state.

Agreed.

The Libertarian Party of today is a bit closer to the pre-Clinton / post-FDR Democrat Party than it was to the old-time Republican Party. Eisenhower was the closest Republican to the Libertarian Party ideals of today, but Eisenhower was a ‘one off’ Republican.

The RINO wing of the Republican Party is more similar to the Democrat Party of today than it is to the Libertarian Party.

The MAGA wing of the Republican Party is as close to Libertarian that any true major political party has ever been.

Indeed, one will not commonly find MAGA supporters that have advanced undergraduate degrees in social justice, art history, music, theater, and interpretive dance. Even fewer MAGA people with advanced degrees in these fields.

The remainder of your post is the typical baseless TDS’er nonsensical endeavor to discredit Americans who have opened up their eyes and figured out that the administrative state of our federal government exists primarily to pad their own comfortable lives. MAGA voters recognize the obvious; the people employed by the government, those whose livings are largely dependent upon govt grants or govt contracts (I.e., people who work for many NGO’s, public school employees who are fattened up by DoE goodies, and University educators who get their gravy from the govt or govt-fed NGO’s) have not only been indifferent to them, but actually dislike them. This goes for whites, blacks, and Latinos.

The RINOs and Democrats, and their ‘clients,’ realize that their self-dealing has been exposed. Thus, the ever increasing frequency of nervous interviews by unindicted criminals like James Comey, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Nancy Pelosi, John Bolton, etc etc etc.

Yet, the thinly veiled ominous messaging from within the OBiden Handlers Admin,-and- the Uniparty -and- their shills & sheep that ‘Trump will not be allowed to occupy with WH’ doesn’t even tingle a nerve fiber that such threats are absolutely un-Democratic to its core.

Accusing MAGA supporters as having no values? The Uniparty supporters’ values are on open display.

To be Libertarian, one must want complete freedom, small government, and little government intervention while strictly adhering to the Constitution.

MAGA does not support any of this. They want only freedom for themselves, they have publicly stated they want a dictator, they want big government meddling in economics, and they hate the Constitution.

It's not about picking what candidate is better but which is the least bad choice. It's like going to a car show with Royals Royce, BMW, Mercedes, Ferreris, all there to be judged and you're stuck over in a corner judging between a Kia and a Saturn. Not which is fastest, most luxurious, etc. You're judging which one is less of a death trap and which will make 80k miles.

OBiden Handlers Admin’s efforts to suppress free speech is the single most dangerous threat to America. The degree of success that they’ve had, and the intensity with which they keep on pursuing the censorship agenda should terrify every American.

Remember that the not-in-power Democrat party centric bureaucracy was successful in suppressing … not totally eliminating it, but suppressing it … the free speech of Trump’s supporters in 2020. Twitter files reveal where and how our politically ideological bureaucracy executed this assault on the 1st Amendment. Musk (temporarily) salvaged Twitter / X. The Democrats have attacked him ever since. #### / Facebook and Google (including YouTube) are still honing their speech censorship acumen.

If everyone was given access to the enormity of the federal government’s efforts to orchestrate the environment of J6, then they would understand how Trump’s minor actions were conflated to look like a MAGA insurrection.

J6 was orchestrated by the Uniparty in similar fashion as Kristallnacht was orchestrated by the Nazis. The ongoing coverup by the FBI, DoJ, and ‘biapartisan’ original J6 committee speaks louder than any words. If there was no Kristallnacht-ish activities by our government during and immediately prior to J6, then all of the J6 tapes, video & audio recordings from independent journalists, complete transcripts and evidentiary documents from each J6 ‘witness’ from the J6 committee, and FBI investigations of such matters as the pipe bomb threats would have long ago been revealed by the public.

Suppression of free speech, condoned and propagated by the Democrats, represents a permanent threat to America’s freedoms.

Trump’s election denial, it turns out, has genuine foundation. Look at State of GA; evidence keeps piling up that the GA elections were crooked in both 2020 and 2022. The Trump team that was in the ground in Coffee County, GA were indicted for investigations into the problems in Coffee County because the Trump team investigators were not authorized by the State of GA to conduct those investigations.

This is the metaphorical equivalent of GA arresting an umpire (the Trump team) for attempting to call balls & strikes; the State of GA had only authorized the catcher (I.e., the State of GA itself) to call balls & strikes.

GA ran a corrupt election with categorical knowledge that the massive unaddressed integrity problems with their election processes were in violation of state law.

When asked to investigate, the GA Secretary of State (Raffensperger) and his corrupt boss (Gov. Brian Kemp) … the metaphorical catcher in this situation … simply reviewed, then confirmed, the accuracy of their calls of ‘balls and strikes’ and refused to allow any neutral third party (the umpire) to have any input. Thus, after the catcher reviewed the gam3btaoe, the catcher then ‘recertified’ the game as being honest and subsequently etched into the ‘W’ column.

State of GA was looking for the thinnest pretext to cover up their election stealing. Fortunately, State of GA’s criminality is rapidly coming to light, although the only true good from this is public enlightenment to Georgians and other Americans who have open -&- analytical minds. In other words, the non-TDS’ers.

BTW, neither Raffensperger nor Kemp will ever get the punishment that they deserve for their election fraud crimes. So, rest easy, my TDS’er friend.
