But just suppose the woman never really thought your antics were cute when dating. What if she was faking everything and SHE was the one acting out of character while dating, just to get that ring on the finger. THEN, once married, she reverts to her true miserable ##### self. The guy is blindsided by his now unhappy wife, and she then changes her flavor of #### #### to make HIM think he's the reason. So he changes in the hopes of getting back the girl he dated. Eventually the guy figures out she is just a lying ####. She lied before marriage to make him think she was one way. Then after marriage her true self emerges, and then she tries to make him think HE's the problem and HE needs to change to keep him from figuring out she's really a lying ####.

Just sayin. That's an option too.

Find an old friend of hers, or a sibling/cousin/aunt/uncle perhaps. Do not ask parents this question. But ask someone who has known the woman for a long time and still knows her well since you've been dating. Ask if she has changed any since you've been dating. Or have you noticed any changes in so and so since we've been dating.

The answer is vitally important and the proper reaction is totally counter-intuitive. But if they say something along the lines of "I've never seen her so happy as she has been since you've been dating", or "She is so much happier when she is around you", run. Do not pass Go. Do not collect your $200. Just bolt. If they say she's the same old so and so they knew in middle school or whatever, put a ring on her finger. Don't be trapped thinking her sudden happiness around you is love. It could be bull####. Even if it isn't, the "love" will fade. People are who they are. There's a baseline for any man or woman. And after enough marriage, they will always become that person they were 5-10 years before meeting you. If they're in love, it may take several years. If they're bull####### you, it will be much quicker. Weeks to perhaps a month or so. Point is, if there is a drastic change when dating you, they're not being honest with you. Maybe it's love. Maybe a load of crap. Either way you will be in for a surprise when married.
