By the media if we lost to an unranked team starting out. You won’t have to think very far back unfortunately. Heck they’re already planning to trash us if we lose to #1. Screw espn and Covid Mike.

I agree.
Already, even with a 12 team playoff format, with FSU losing some of the talking heads are probably seeing this as a reason to hold the ACC out completely.
Clemson will need to dominate this year! Yes, Clemson only, as I don't think if another team emerged they would be taken serious enough to get in. Yes, I am talking about it this early.
Clemson has the reputation and the pedigree that can't be denied. FSU had it as well; but just lost to GT.
The narrative around the ACC is - "it's weak"! If this was Alabama or Georgia losing to say - Arkansas or Mississippi State "it wouldn't be a big deal"! That double standard that most certainly exist. Note: GT has won a National Championship since the last time either of those programs have; but still the double standard is there. And nobody will give GT credit as they should. As they would if it was the before mentioned SEC schools or if it was a high ranked Big 10 opponent and a school like Illinois stepped up and won. They would just elevate that school and declare "the whole conference good"!
Which is a big fat lie.

I honestly don’t agree that any Conference Champion should get an auto bid. It should be the top 12 teams period.
Question. Do you honestly think 2021 Pitt was one of the top 12 best teams in the country? Heck no. They got beat by MSU by 10 after winning the ACC.
But under the new format they would have gotten an auto bid. Just my opinion!

SEC logic suggest you can't count the Bowl games because players skip and it's not the same team by then, LOL!
I get what you are saying: "I just don't agree".
Win your conference and be the team that was the most consistent - you should get an opportunity to represent that group of teams.
The "Eye-Test" should not be used to determine who gets in: "only"!
If so, it will be highly biased to SEC and Big 10 teams.

I agree the ACC is bad, but it’s assumed to be bad even when it’s not. 12 leaves room to let the 4 conf champs prove it. I’m ok with that.

The ACC is weak. This isn’t some alien from mars inspired conspiracy theory, it’s the GD truth! The sooner you realize and accept it the sooner we can all collectively go on about our business to fix it. And, when we beat Georgia.
Georgia had a bad game.
Clemson got lucky.
SEC is still: sorry excuse conference and we are still going to promote it despite what you have seen here.
If all was the way it should be; the only way Clemson comes out the Georgia game is is we are blown out. People keep thinking about them beating FSU up like they stole something; but forgetting about all the players who sat out.
This same Georgia team didn't look the same against "normal opponents" in the SEC who were average. Give them credit for smoking an opponent who came in with no experience and a hand behind their back.
Clemson keeps it close in a win hopefully. If Georgia were to win; I don't think they blow Clemson out by any means.

I’ve known ever since the ‘##########’ thing that the media hated us. Didn’t even make any sense. What about the blue blood struggling programs like Michigan and Alabama at the time?
Should have been wolverining or crimson tiding!!
