Things to do in Clemson area with 5 year old

Apr 8, 2021, 8:30 PM

I went to school here but I don’t think just taking my daughter to backstreets to pound liquor pitchers and pizza is going to do it. I have no idea what to do with kids in the area but I’m coming up there with my daughter and could use some ideas. Also any recommendations on waterfalls within 45 minutes or so that would be easy and fun for a 5 year old? Other fun stuff around the area? Thanks for any info

Would suggest a walk in the SC Botanical Gardens - lots blooming. Ducks and koi in ponds, moving water, bridges. Sometimes you'll see a snake, turtles, etc.

Visit the 55 Exchange for ice cream.

Ballyhoo petting zoo in Anderson if open.

Isaqueena Falls above Walhalla.

Frankie's Fun Park in Greenville. Also, Skyzone Trampoline or Big Air in Greenville. Downtown has the falls, Mast General Store, and lots of places to eat. Table Rock State Park. Roper Mountain. Children's Museum downtown. Etc.

Table Rock is awesome, if not too far.

and Whitewater Falls just across the NC border.

Linky Stone Park in Greenville is a small park under the bridge that's aimed at small children. Has interactive musical things like xylophone, and a bigger than life bronze statue of an Indian. Most people have never seen it as it's hidden under the bridge.

Don't forget 55 exchange for Clemson ice cream.

Also Greenville has the "Mice on Main" little bronze mice hidden all around to search for.

She would probably like a trip to Knickerbocker's or Tiger Sports Shop to pick out a stuffed tiger/t-shirt/soccer ball/stickers/pencils/jewelry...
