The problem with Miss. State is that they ...

don't have any "quality losses" vs the SEC.

What gives - how can they be #1.

BTW - i think TA&M and UF should be in the discusiion for the four team playoffs - again based on quality losses.

They shouldn't have jumped FSU. When you're the defending

champ you should hold your spot until you lose. FSU hasn't looked exactly like last year, but they've managed to win every game. They haven't been "uber impressive" in every win like last year, but too, who does that? MSU has had a couple subpar wins as well. If the #1 team were a defending champ SEC team, then there's no way they get moved out of #1 for any reason other than a loss. Obviously the poll bias is a ridiculous show of SEC circular reasoning.

Look at you being all serious in a joke thread.

He was poking fun at the subjectivity of ESPiN's talking heads when the try to make SEC teams look better than their win/loss record shows.

The playoff committee is not biased. There is equal representation from all power 5 conferences including our AD. There is no way people like Tom Osborne and Barry Alvarez, etc. would be biased toward the SEC. Bottom line is that Mississippi State has a better resume. Having seen both in person, I would lean toward Mississippi State at this point.

They will have a quality SEC loss next Saturday.

I wouldn't call it a quality loss. But I will be pulling for Bama (I need to go wash my mouth out now). Seeing as Bama has only beaten LSU so far.

They also do not play the any of the top 3 from the East.

Really caught some breaks, no pun intended, by getting Ole Mi$$ after they lost L Treadwell and played LSU early (also had D injury issues).

Basically, have beat AU at this point.
