Lee states the case for Clemson hosting a regional
Do the Clemson Tigers deserve to host a NCAA Regional? Head coach Monte Lee thinks they do. Once considered a lock as a top eight national seed, the Tigers now sit on the fence for hosting a regional, but Lee says Clemson’s overall body of work should speak for itself.

Unfortunately, Coach Lee's argument is not valid. They built their success by beating teams outside the ACC. The wins they did have in the ACC were not very good wins. They were completely exposed against UNC and have not been able to hit the ball against good and sometime questionable pitching. I would hate to see them host a regional and be swept out by better teams. Maybe next year coach!!

I graduated from Clemson in '81. I don't understand why every comment has to have Coot in it? Why are we discussing them? Why do we care? I sure don't. Lets talk about Clemson and be mature enough to leave SC out of it. Hopefully they do bad, always hope for that. I'm not hung up on them though. Jeesh

That finished the season 9 and 13 that get to host a regional! If the Tigers are chosen to host it will be because of the tradition that Wilhelm and Leggett built at CLEMSON. I hope that they are chosen but I really don't believe them to be deserving.

Our pitching has been terrible of late. Krall hasn't lived up to the bill at all this year. Demeanor of the team is depressing. Add in what happened last year with Oklahoma State and tell us why the fans should endure more?

i guess they deserve it because their RPI was good enough to withstand the swoon, and there are 16 sites, and the money to be made, but jeez, Monte is pumping a bit too much sunshine IMO.

Anybody who has watched the last 3 ACC series and the 2 ACC tourny games know we have no right to host. You cant go what 1-11 in your last 12 ACC games and expect to host a regional.
