Will not be hindered by Deloite’s 3rd Party NIL oversight. There will be plenty more schools working to undermine the pinch on their collectives

I cant imagine why anyone thinks this is a good idea. There is a reason all the professional leagues have rules in place to level the playing field.

Not sure anyone thinks this is a sane way to handle things, but the alternative is true employment contracts, player’s union, shutting down of non-revenue sports. Without an antitrust exemption from the Feds there’s no going back to a pure amateurism model. Right now it’s hang on tight to the false illusion of a student-athlete, all while trying to pay what it costs to prop up that fiction.

It’s interesting to see smaller schools at D1 are now dropping not down to D2, they’re actually dropping to D3 in order to cluster with wealthier private schools. I expect that’s part of the migration patterns that will evolve over the next few years.

3rd party NIL deals are nothing more than a student working at the local Starbucks. Where people are employed is nobody's business.

We better hope we and everyone else are hindered by it or collegiate basketball
