Too bad the teams that are knocked out of the playoffs early can't play a bowl game of some kind. We have a great team for next year and it would be nice to see them one more time. I wonder if others feel this wishful thinking?

practice time for guys staying but so many guys leave before playing in them that’s it’s not representative at all of the teams in the regular season. Example A - FSU vs UGA. I used to watch 90% of the bowl games - many more than most. The more games the better was my opinion. Those days are gone as players abandon their teams for the draft and portal. The games give zero indication of who has a better team in the regular season or even who may be on the rise for next.

..but play game at home field of highest ranked team, split tickets and revenue evenly....this will virtually insure a full stadium and bring back the excitement..

there isnt a decent one left not tied to the CFP. These others are dreg bowls. Many in northern cities in the middle of winter. Un less you have family there do you want to vacation in the snow belt?

This was a position that we were not even supposed to be in with all our obvious imperfections. You want to go to a bowl game where it has become Opt Out City or Transfer Portalsville for the players???
These barely put together teams playing in bowls are wishing they were in the playoffs.

Maybe they can make the first round games bowls at the home teams town that way the teams get the benefits of a bowl game. If not I’d much rather be in the hunt for a title than just a bowl game and go home

I think teams get 15 practices for bowl games? We had 2 weeks but had exams for some of that time. Do you get the additional practices or is it all game after the playoff game?? I'm assuming it's finished when the team is finished??

They really should assign those first round games to the next best bowls like the Citrus,Reliaquest ( or whatever the former Tampa Outback Bowl is now),Gator Bowl and maybe a bowl in Texas like the Texas or Sun Bowl. Let the 3 loss teams that didn't even play in their conference championship game like USuC go to the Mayo or Birmingham Pizza Bowls. lol.
