These Younger Folks Have No Idea About Clemson/UGA....

I know folks have friends/acquaintances that are UGA fans, but this is the first time since the 1980's we will be hooking up as probably top 10 teams.....
The UGA fans are nothing like you have ever seen.....even worse than the COOTS if you can believe that.
If you don't know what to do, don't worry.....I suspect their will be a lot of 45+ year olds that will be showing you some old-school Clemson-UGA hate....I imagine their will be some scuffles all over the place....
I don't like the coots, but I hate the dawgs!

And don't drive your best vehicle to Athens for the game. Best to take an old truck that has seen it's best years - their fans like to damage anything that they can identify as an opponent's property (especially if they lose).

This was when the cheap rednecks would sit on the train tracks/bridge and as we were walking into Sanford stadium was pelted with rocks.......
A 13 Y/0 kid tends to remember those things..

The Tigers vs the dawgs is such a big rivalry because both always have had strong teams and it has been about football.
The Tigers and coots is more about state bragging rights since Carolina has only recently started winning.

I went to law school at Forida and can verify all of the stories of UGA fans being the worst fanbase in America. I remember seeing just as many women screaming, pushing and shoving and throwing things in the crowd as men. These people were the sober ones too. I couldn't believe the amount of profanity coming from the mouths of women. I really hope Clemson doesn't join the SEC and degenerate like the gamecock fans have done during the last 20 years.
My wise great-grandfather from Charleston never cared for Georgia Crackers and I understand his point of view.

THE most bloated ego, ignorant people (generally speaking) that I have encountered in the college football world. And their behavior towards opposing fans is disgusting. Cesspool of the south. Agree entirely about Georgia fans and gameday in Athens, but I'll at least say that Athens is a pretty cool town when there's no game on.

... I didn't even wear orange routinely or talk much about football, but as soon as some found out my link to Clemson the annoying and childish jibber jabber would start. From bankers, attorneys, and everyone alike. Even in one official meeting to sign legal documents I had to listen to a few lines from an attorney about Clemson football (negative, of course) that obviously had nothing to do with the official business. It wasn't as if we knew each other, either. It was my first a last meeting with him.

I go to law school at UGA and I wear my Clemson orange around proudly all the time. It's not too bad--they're easily one of the most delusional fan bases so their banter doesn't bother me that much.

in 2002 against UGA. I was 13 years old and it was hot as hell!!!! granted we lost 31-28 I believe, but me and my dad sat through the whole game and when we left you would have thought we just got out of a swimming pool. Our season tickets were in the upper deck then so we got all of that August heat. Best memory of my life though, just me and my dad watching some football!!!!

Of Clemson's 17 wins, 9 came before 1920. It is the most arrogant fanbase of all time and the luckiest team ever to play. Hopefully their luck runs out soon. FWIW, Murray's first victory over a team that finished in the top 20 was this year against Florida. They are definitely beatable if the defense plays like it did against lsu.
