Supreme Court confirmation hearings.

I think the most important thing to understand is, how many beers the nominee had in highschool. Hopefully Corey Booker will lead this charge. Very important stuff.

I've gotten used to these being a circus, after watching the last two. Maybe US senators will act with a little more maturity, this time around.

and give a fat NO vote to the female minority that is being being presented?
Cause you know, that is what he did to the last lady minority female up for the Supreme Court.

Opening statements generally don't tell you too much,

That seems very hard to believe.

I clerked for one year in a state appellate court that ruled on multiple state and federal constitutional issues during that single year. Are you sure she's never ruled on a constitutional issue?

When multiple people came out and contradicted Ford's testimony, the senators moved on to trying to make the case that he was a drunk.

Lost in the Kavanaugh circus

was his record on rulings, favoring corporate interests over 80% of the time, and the role he played in getting Citizens United pushed through. The guy is a stooge that paid his dues, felt like he was owed the job before the hearing, then cried like a baby on national TV when he got attacked.
So basically we installed someone who is emotionally unstable, an alcoholic, and a corporatist, but disguised him as a "pro-life Justice". I am glad we got to debate this when the senate was considering his appointment.

I am basing this off my own observations, the red nose, broken vessels in the cheeks, the emotional instability, you know, stuff that helps identify heavy drinkers for 100 alex.

The main thing that should have automatically DQ'd him was that Citizens United stuff. I literally don't know one single American (well one who isn't a CEO) who would agree with that because as a direct result of that ruling, America basically went from We The People to We The Big Corporations With Deep Pockets, virtually overnight and with no fanfare. And our Congresscritters no longer even had to declare where they were getting their money from, because donations weren't just "free speech", they were also unaccountable free speech that no longer was required to disclose its origin.
I mean, like, wow. And you wonder why our politics has spiraled into this sh!t-storm of meat-for-the-masses Culture War BS ever since, while behind the scenes our Congresscritters on both sides of the aisle just opened their pockets, called their stock trader, and scooped.
That was just legalized corruption, and it disenfranchised just about every voter in America, white, black, brown, and polka-dotted. You wanna talk about voter suppression....
Congressmen should be like NASCAR drivers. They should have to wear patches of their sponsors all over their three-piece suits so we all know exactly who they're actually working for. So much for that.
Thanks Kavanaugh!

And strangely un-remarked upon. Even by the Dems. It was odd, even as they were pummeling Kavanaugh for his beer-swilling as a teenager and maybe-drunken-quasi-rape (sorry, it wasn't much more than that, drunken kids are pure 'tards with the basement-level EQ's and p!ss-poor judgment and Ford was a willing participant in the stupid even if she may not have given consent, which is not going to be a popular opinion).
But not one of them had a thing to say about Citizens United, as far as I remember. Almost like they didn't want it mentioned either.
This Blue Team/Red Team BS is for the benefit of the faceless masses. Their real biz is done right there, with K Street. That's where the whole game is and we don't have public access to any of it.
