Love Dabo. He's one of the best recruiters around. But...

I'm beginning to think we need to tweak our recruiting strategy. We might want to recruit the Moms as much as the sons.
CJ Spiller = Loved Clemson. CJ's mom, not so much. Tony Steward = Loved Clemson, mom not so much. RN = same as above, unfortunately he is not strong enough to chose his own path.
Why can't we seem to get the moms that want to push their kids to Clemson?

His ability to impress moms has been a recurring theme on this board for a few years now.

What about the other 119 recruits since 2006.

further than the others. She seems to really despise Clemson even though she's never even been to the campus or met any of the coaches / people (I don't think she has anyway). Yes, I can understand her wanting her sons to be together. It's like she won't quit until she makes sure RN ends up anywhere but Clemson.

is suddenly liking her bank account...due to all of this attention....thankfully our staff is not biting....
you can bet whoever signs RN....the NCAA is going to thoroughly question all the players involved!

There is simply no reasoning with someone

Who makes a statement like 'the so called commitment they claim he made" when referring to something that all sides acknowledge as fact.
You can't reason with someone who has their mind that made up.

Sad part is if he goes to Ole Miss, they send no one to the NFL, let alone defensive ends. That is an easy sell for us. His mother is a very strong with strong opinions. Unfortunately...playing with brother may not be the best road for him.Wish he was strong enough to stand up to her, but apprarently not. He certainly will not be in a BCS bowl nor the SEC championship....which means little TV . Oh well.

home. Which, I would bet was the biggest concern with Spiller and Steward. With RN, I think it has something to do with mom being a little selfish honestly and wanting to see her son's play together. Now obviously that makes it easier for her to travel when she's stateside to see them both play. However, whether or not she's putting RN's interest ahead of her own is another question.

you don't win them all. It is very difficult to recruit someone that is thousands of miles away.
I don't think anyone on this board has the petigree to doubt our staff's recruiting ability.

thought about that? Oh wait, they have. I trust Dabo and and staff and their recruiting a lot more than I do the opinions of someone who has never recruited anyone to go any where!
