targets. If Durkin and Smith do eventually come aboard our length is going to be more than I can ever remember for a Clemson team. We'd have just 3 players under 6'5, and 8, 6'7 or better, including 4, 6'10 or better.

After watching Duke this year I think there is real intent here. Duke's length has caused problems for everyone.

Other than Lahkin and Wiggins this year, we didn't really have length. Next year, we could have it in spades.

Seems to be an intriguing change in recruiting emphasis

Striper, great observation! I truly believe there is a master strategy. Others may disagree, but keep in mind, Thetigernet remembers. 😳

There clearly is no Cooper Flagg coming in

but guys like Davidson, Weller, Thomas, Thompson are very athletic and long.

A very successful coach at Washington years ago, Marv Harshman, once put it this way. "Quick guys get tired, big guys don't shrink."

Now, we'll need to do plenty of other things, but as far as deflections, rim protection, traps, etc., length is an advantage.

YOu make a good point but Wiggins length was seldom a factor whereas Lahkin was a rim protector generally.

As long as our new lengthy player can....

run the floor and put the ball on the floor, then i am entirely fine with it and look forward to it. Good news indeed.

I believe you are correct in what you have observed regarding Duke. You do see (attached) a somewhat of a trend that teams with greater average heights had been average defensive efficiency.
