Wife just called. Rooster attacked her again.

Apparently the spur broke in her leg and she can't dig it out. That's the second time that "Woody" got her good in the past few weeks.
It's funny and all, but she is going to have to go see a surgeon today and have the #### thing cut out.
Welcome to my world.
Three things: 1. T&P for the wife 2. Anybody looking for a mean asss rooster? 3. Who wants to come over for dinner tonight? I'll provide the chicken, you bring the sides.

True. In the past months she's tried two tactics. Hitting it with a shovel and ignoring it.
Luckily she hasn't tried the shovel on mine yet.

We'll call it even... I'm still worried that those piglets will resemble me when they're born.

She's a nurse at a pediatrician's office. She got a coworker to help her try to dig it out until she almost passed out from the pain. She's a tough ol' bird. Which is probably why the rooster is trying to claim her.

Since he'll be food, I'll just cut the corner off of a feed back, stuff him inside so only his head sticks out, cut off his head and hold the bag tight until he stops flopping around.

one actually broke the skin. Not too bad though. They are sneaky little effers sometimes attacking from behind.
I try to cut my roosters' spurs before they get too sharp and long. Not hard to do, some big wire cutters do the trick. They are the exact same material as your fingernails are.

That's what I should have done. I may still do that if I can beg forgiveness on behalf of the roo. We had let them grow out so he could better defend the flock since we let them free range. Both times he cut wifey, it went deep. I bet at least a 1/2" puncture. It bruised like heck too.
