What in the world happened to Miami baseball ?!?!?!

A once proud and perennial national power.

Apparently joining a conference with several other really good baseball programs and no longer being able to play 90% of their games at home in Coral Gables really took its toll.

UVA/UNC have been perenial programs for a long time. UVA with a NC. Duke made the Supers last year and returns key pieces, where exactly did you think they would be? ACC always has about 9-10 teams capable of making Regiionals, 6 or 7 capable of Supers, 2-4 capable of CWS and 1 or 2 with a shot at winning it all. Not much different this year. I'd say CU and Miami are both in that 6 or 7 group this particular year.

Based on voting, Clemson is not in the 6-7 range but is 4th.

We are ahead of the Virginia and Duke teams that you mentioned should obviously be ahead of Miami.

Miami has fallen off since losing their legendary coach.

They are not in a similar place in their division to us because we won the division last year and they were not very good last year.

People are putting Clemson 3rd in the division because of the unknown.

They could be right but we don't know yet.

Virginia I believe had some injuries but was not very good last year.

Voters are expecting bounce back years from FSU and Louisville and thinking Clemson will drop without Beer and Williams.

It will be interesting to see what FSU does in the last year with Martin and moving forward.

Saying Clemson and Miami are in a similar place heading in to the season is not accurate.

We could finish close to them in the final standings however if we fall off some or if Miami bounces back.

the 6 or 7 teams that could reach a SR out of the ACC- not necessarily predicting they'll finish in 6th or 7th place. The reality is 5-7 would probably only have a game or 2 difference in the standings. I don't think they are in the 2-4 this year that I referred to as being a CWS threat.
