That has always been my position. Every team should play the same number of games. Hated it when ND or a team that didn’t play in their conference championship game made the 4 team playoff.

I thought it was great to see them brought down to earth. That’s the point. Add more teams. Show they didn’t belong.

Agreed - who wants to see another 65-7 NCG? I certainly don’t.
Having more games helps to reduce the chances of that happening again

What difference does it make where they were seeded as none of the teams who have lost thus far had any legit chance at a NC.

Six teams is all you needed this year, and 4 or less is sufficient most years. Football isn’t a tournament sport.

We've been the consensus #1 seed and "got" to play 4 seed Alabama when they were the obvious #2.
Weird things happen.
Penn State has the easiest road into the finals.
Texas is 2nd.

Give Conference Champs an automatic bid, but seed them by their their perceived abilities. Just like Basketball. IMO, the only way to get the seeding close to correct.
