The worst part about broccoli

6

May 3, 2023, 8:46 PM

Is that it doesn’t hold heat very well. Mistime your steak by 3 minutes and you’re eating cold broccoli.

That, and the taste.

You clearly have no clue how to cook broccoli

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

In the oven, in a skillet

4

May 3, 2023, 8:50 PM

On the grill, in an air fryer

None of this changes the physical make up of the vegetable.

Also, this was meant to go in the lungs, sorry mods

All of those options are the worst you could do…. Large pot with some boiling water, pasta skimmer, then season with salt pepper evo and fresh parm… even if cold it’s amazing m.

That's bc it was written as boiled. All these know it alls can't write a sentence to effectively impart their groundbreaking wisdom!

No doubt man.

It's also frustrating because broccoli smells like Stanley.

That earthy, putrid stench of a pigs colon.

I love broccoli. Steam it with generous sea salt. Or eat it raw. Good stuff.

The worst part is the taste.
I have always hated it.
Y'all can have mine.

It's an acquired taste, for sure. I started eating broccoli for health reasons and learned to like it.

Is thinking about it. My Momma tried to get me

3

to eat it to no avail.

Now, as an adult, I don't ever consider it. Another item: asspergrass...Nada nada nada.

My Mother was a country gal, raised in South Texas. Name a veggie: she cooked it, and both parents ate it. Not me...which usually prompted a remark: "There's no use putting that on his plate. He won't eat it." lol

Asparagus broiled with olive oil, S&P.. then sprinkle with sesame seeds and feta cheese!!!!!!!

The feta is a perfect compliment for the earthy taste of the asparagus.

Broccoli...

2

I eat it raw, steamed, grilled but it tastes best cooked in a skillet with butter and bacon... but then doesn't almost everything?

I like to air fry for a few minutes (don’t over do it) at the end when the steak is resting. Next add seasoning and I like to add some feta cheese crumbles.

Broccolli is awesome. Prepare to taste, goes with anything.

I've been making this Beef & Broccoli dish I found off Youtube. Incredibly high heat in a wok until you see a few char marks then finish it with the beef and sauce for about a minute, it's delicious. The broccoli is warm, tender and still snappy.

Look up Brian Lagerstrom beef & broccoli.

Siriusly, the only way I can stand broccoli is stewed and then smothered with melted cheese. Then, it just tastes like crunchy cheese.
