#OnThisDay June 24, 1864
After the bloody affair that was the Battle of Kolb's Farm on June 22, both U.S and Confederate armies had found each other's flanks and hardened their positions. Feeling that flanking Johnston's army was played out, Sherman resolved to attack. Ultimately, Sherman hoped to utilize his army's superior numbers to breach the Confederate line and take control of the railroad to the rear. On June 24th, Sherman issued his Special Field Orders No. 28. He wrote "The army commanders will make full reconnaissance's and preparations to attack the enemy in force on the 27th instant, at 8 am precisely. The commanding general will be on Signal Hill, and will have telegraphic communication with all the army commanders". After directing his three generals on their specific tasks, Sherman closed the order stating that "Each attacking column will endeavor to break a single point of the enemy's line, and make a secure lodgement beyond, and be prepared for following it up toward Marietta and the railroad in case of success".
The resulting battle three days later would be one of the bloodiest of the Atlanta Campaign. This weekend, on June 28th and June 29th, the park will commemorate this battle with various living history demonstrations, talks, and guided hikes. For a full schedule of events, visit our website.

Basically, after about ~2005, nothing has changed. If you look at pictures that are 20 years old...people mostly looked and dress the same.
Almost ever era prior to that was easy to tell when they were from their dress and hair styles. Since after 2005-ish? Nope..nothing much has changed.

Yep. The internet ruined the concept of "decades" by shortening attention

spans from multiple years to like a week and a half. Nothing--music, dress styles, etc.--has time to get a foothold, much less become a trend. So for 20 years, it's been a bland, generic pool of dank standing water.
Except maybe emo goths. Those guys seemed to figure out a lane and stick with it.

The only obvious difference in the movie from then to today is the lack of smartphones (the iPhone was introduced in 2007). It's almost a 20-year-old movie now, and nothing about how people looked or dressed is notably different from today.
Using the mission impossible movies as an example*, you can tell the difference between the first(1996), second(2000) and third movies(2006) but from the 3rd to the most recent one, they all feel from a similar time. It's weird.
*Ignoring the difference in directors
