The running game will greatly benefit from T-Law being QB

Otherwise, defenses will just stack the line of scrimmage.

Am I missing something here, the last depth chart I saw has Feaster as the Starter---I know both will play(as they should) but I think Dabo says who is the starter.

My vote is less QB running...more RB running. (Do I get a vote in this?! I’m not even registered)

A big advantage of the QB run

is that the RB can serve as an extra blocker downfield. The same could be said of your QB blocking for the RB, but that is not really a great use of the QB long term.
QB runs should always be part of our offense. But so should downfield passing, screens, RB runs, etc.

Sooooo, can we expect a RB who is not very good as a pass pro blocker to be a good downfield blocker for our running QB? I think not.

By KB calling his own number way to much last season, it did cause our offense to be very predicable, and defenses was set and ready for him, especially Bama.
With TL being the QB that can move the ball down field in an air raid with accuracy, and he can run the ball when needed, and, he is pretty good at running the ball. My opinion is put the ball in the hands of TL as much as possible at the beginning of the season, by the 7th or 8th game, he should be ready to lead our team into the championship season. Do that, and he will have a great head start at being the lone starter for our next season, DW4 2.0 all over again with TL!!!

I think we have the talent in the backfield, the o-line needs to get more physical to get them open.

In the article, Rink mentions Dixon using 4 games of a redshirt early in the season. I have tried to find the exact wording of the new redshirt rule about 4 games. So far what I have found does not seem to specify when those games occur. So, in theory, couldn't the freshman use his 4 games late in the season to give us fresh legs AND him have more knowledge of the playbook too? Seeking clarification - thanks!

Good question. I was ASSUMING it would be a total of four games regardless of when they are played.

Yes, but which games are our coaches going to feel comfortable putting in our forth string RB, the early blowouts, or the closer games later in the season?

Nikki said it best: “The offense is better when Bryant is a THREAT to run, not the primary ball carrier.”

I think Feaster is going to be a bigger threat this year. He was known for his ability to catch passes and we used that asset very little last year. We have a lot of home run capabilities with Feaster and ETN if we use them more both running and passes while reducing the QB runs.

Kind of difficult to assess the running back performance when our air attack was not really a threat last year. If we can pose a downfield passing threat I think Etienne’s numbers will skyrocket as there won’t be 8 defenders staring right him every single play. Given the circumstances of us being one dimensional his numbers were pretty outstanding.

Any body that wants to, just go back and look at the rushing stats for KB and and all other RB's and you will see that KB has a lot more rushes than anyone, and most of the time the RB's had more yards than KB with less rushes than KB had. That is absolutely ridiculous to call him a QB.

Your point of QB running THREAT vs predictability i's totally correct. It hurt our O is some key opportunities like Syracuse and Bama, our 2 losses. It also telegraphed a tendency to opposing Ds that hurt our overall offensive effectiveness. It amazes me with our incredible O talent we don't dominate more good teams by keeping them off balance .

AL saw that, and exploited it and they saw our weakness of not being able/willing to go down field in the passing game. Anyone think every opponent we play won’t have learned from the Bowl game how best to defend us? Granted, AL has the talent to stuff our Offense while some others don’t, but they did create a pretty good blueprint for shutting us down.
