Saw a couple cross our yard recently. We're in the country too, after a recent move. City ain't the place to be anymore!

Amen to that. We had a couple of fawns behind our house yesterday morning. I didn’t get a picture with my phone but I’m sure there are pics on the trail camera I keep out there. I’ve had trail cams pics bobcats and pigs a couple of times there too but it’s mostly deer and squirrels.

ago, WILD turkeys can in fact fly. I had one fly away from me over a grove of trees once when I was attempting to tattoo him with a shotgun, and missed with my first shot.

No jokey here.
I live in ruralish Michigan and came across Mom and at least three chicks (or brood or whatever they is called) while walking the dog last week. Then saw another family a few days later in the neighbors yard.
I look forward to watching these little turkey families grow up every summer.

Ate a lot of them growing up in the rural Lowcountry. Mom cooked them just like chicken. Fried with milk gravy or squirrel and dumplings. A lot like rabbit just smaller.

good eating too, as long as they present an imminent danger to your life, the laws in Florida clearly state that you may shoot them.

I had a great blue in my yard this morning but they don't look edible to me. I'm thinking the meat would be stringy

Very effective for these types of lizards, but you have to dispatch them once you’ve netted one. I prefer to use a taser.
