Nice!***

Saw a couple cross our yard recently. We're in the country too, after a recent move. City ain't the place to be anymore!

Occassionally on the Broad River I see otters. It is pretty

Jul 3, 2022, 10:21 AM

cool. But, they usually aren't around long enough to get a camera out and get a pic, sideways or not!

Amen to that. We had a couple of fawns behind our house yesterday morning. I didn’t get a picture with my phone but I’m sure there are pics on the trail camera I keep out there. I’ve had trail cams pics bobcats and pigs a couple of times there too but it’s mostly deer and squirrels.

Yep. They tripped the game cam.

I don't care what WKRP in Cinncinnatti said all those years

ago, WILD turkeys can in fact fly. I had one fly away from me over a grove of trees once when I was attempting to tattoo him with a shotgun, and missed with my first shot.

:(

Here are you Michigan birds

Jul 3, 2022, 11:37 AM

No jokey here.

I live in ruralish Michigan and came across Mom and at least three chicks (or brood or whatever they is called) while walking the dog last week. Then saw another family a few days later in the neighbors yard.

I look forward to watching these little turkey families grow up every summer.

Ate a lot of them growing up in the rural Lowcountry. Mom cooked them just like chicken. Fried with milk gravy or squirrel and dumplings. A lot like rabbit just smaller.

meh, we gots these things waking about

Jul 3, 2022, 3:20 PM

good eating too, as long as they present an imminent danger to your life, the laws in Florida clearly state that you may shoot them.

I had a great blue in my yard this morning but they don't look edible to me. I'm thinking the meat would be stringy

I have a gun that shoots a weighted net.

Very effective for these types of lizards, but you have to dispatch them once you’ve netted one. I prefer to use a taser.

The real question is…

Jul 3, 2022, 4:59 PM

Is he staying for dinner against his will?
