Just watched his tape a bit more...I think he lets the ball get to his pads a little too much, but ultimately it's not a big deal. The fact of the matter is he is an elite-level playmaker. If he chooses to come to Clemson, Chad will be frothing at the mouth trying to think of ways to get the ball in his hands.
If he comes to Clemson, he'll be one of the top playmakers the country, no doubt about it.

He is indeed a baller. But to answer your question, the reasons why he is not a 5* are as follows
Size - 5'11, 177. Hes a bit shorter than and lacks the bulk to be physical and durable
Speed - Does not have breakaway speed, but more quick than fast (certanly not close to the current crop of speed demons)
Catching - often body catcher, but shows he can pluck the ball ala Sammy or Nuk
All that said. This guy can flat out play, and I hope we get him

It appears like he's still got some very good top-end speed. Gotta be running a 4.4. He's not a huge guy, but if he bulked up 5-10 pounds he'd be fine.
I've been trying to think of who he reminds me of...and I think I've found it. Another Tampa area guy: Noel Devine. Incredible balance and elite explosive ability. He's not super physical, but his burst makes it difficult to bring him down.

He is playing against a very high level of talent over there on the west coast of Florida. A lot of those guys he is making look silly will be D1 athletes.

He dropped Michigan from his list and I've heard that UM was not sure he would qualify academically to get in there. Read his academics may not be in good order. Anyone know if that could be problem and why UCF is a big contender?

Ran a 4.6 at the opening today.
UCF has his old QB from high school and is close to him.
Watch out for UF to flip him down the road unfortunately.
