I'll make light of it. Sark is a great offensive minded coach, probably better than Kiffen. If Kiffen was causing drama on the team is reason enough to get rid of him. I don't put it past Saban to set this up to create a psychological edge to his players. Dabo needs to figure out the best way to handle this news with our team.

Sark as an ANALYST hasn't been allowed to coach

this team. He hasn't been allowed any coaching with this team.Had he been already on the offensive staff,it might be a good move. Sark is coming in cold, his first coaching didn't come until Lane was fired. Up until now,he's been a film watcher advising the offensive staff.

Lane is a much better offensive mind than Sark. Not close

Or Saban could be installing a ready to be used excuse if we win.

If y'all think any residents of the Island of Broken Coaches charity that Nicky runs call a single play, y'all are dupes.
You think Kevin Steele built that defense? LOL.
Saban could have replaced Lane with a cardboard cutout of Carmen Electra, and it won't change a ###### thing.

Saban be chewing out Kiffin every time the offense stalled if Saban was running the offense? When has Saban ever coached on that side of the ball?

Agreed. It was clear Saban often lost confidence in Lane. They'd often come out pounding the rock every time he chewed Lane out. I think Lane called the offense but Saban had a major influence on how he called it (run vs pass) when things weren't going to suit Saban.

The dumbest thing I've read on the internet this year. Maybe in months.
If you think Kiffin would have less impact than a cardboard cutout, I need you to pass what you are smoking this way. That stuff must be fire.
Wow.
So you think Saban pays all that money for fun? Wow

What worries me is that we have no film to base what Sark will do in each case! We pretty much know how Kiffin would react to certain situations or what plays he'd put in with certain instances!

You'd have to think that some flow is lost with the staff change. There has to be a comfort level for players in knowing what to expect and how to interact with Kiffen during a game. That continuity only comes with time. That's all changed now.
Also, there certainly seemed to be divisiveness between Saban and Kiffen. That's never a good thing. When adversity comes the offensive players on "Kiffen's side" may have a hard time adjusting/trusting Sark or Saban. I tend to agree with the OP. This should be good for us.
Lighter side...what if Sark shows up in a drunken stupor on the sidelines with Saban? Haha. Kidding..for the sensitive among us.

The reason this is a big deal is that there is now more uncertainty as to what to expect from Bamas offense. You had a lot of film to diagnose under a LK offense but now with Sark taking the helm who knows what we will see. Most probably expect a very run heavy offense "to please Daddy" but what wrinkles he will throw in....who knows

Defense needs to have same game plan they did against Ohio State. We only get beat my QBs that can throw and put up numbers

a bunch of new stuff. Sark will probably call the game a little differently, but we aren't going to change our preparation because of this.

True. Not with the extra travel and short turnaround.

However, the frequency and tendencies could change, but you probably only have to look back as far as pre-Kiffin to see what Nick will be pushing the gameplan towards. Sark isn't going too solo his first gig out.
Making Hurts beat us with passing will be the key regardless. Can't wait til Bo meets Dex L at the line. Nobody Bama has played remotely comes close to the DL we'll be bringing, in waves.
Change. Panic. Blood on the streets.
Tiger territory.
Vamos!

Sark might call the game, but it has to be from the same playbook. We need the same gameplan. Stop the run, make the young QB throw the ball.

for continuity in any regard. Don't know where and how exactly but it's a negative in Bama's corner. But hey, there the ones who hired the guy and plotted out his stay through the CFP this year with his new hire. All's fair.

They will pound Scarborough and go play action... bc that's what Saban wants. They were better last year and have a freshman QB.
