The player that committed to Texas said Nil

Jan 8, 2022, 3:44 PM

Was a factor. Some of these schools have an organization of Rich Boosters getting to pay their dreams away without now penalizing their team. Can you imagine the Big Oil Fat Cats of Texas lining up now to compete against the Big Fat Cats of Texas A and M. It’s there game now. Has been taken away from the coaches and Universities themselves. It’s a sad day in college sports.

Really skews the resume of their respective recruiters. Need an asterisk for all of their imminent recruiter of the year awards.

Those big boosters were likely already influencing a lot of decisions and paying behind the scenes, but now they will have more power than the AD’s.

It will be interesting to watch develop for sure. We will see more teams that are collections of talent with terrible coaching like 2001 Miami IMO.

If anybody else has noticed a trend of national groups seemingly trying to destroy activities that should bring communities together, this is probably what they want.

Attended the 100th Clemson vs. USC game on a broken ankle from 8 hours earlier. Got a recliner in the endzone for the 100th game...it was worth it. Story in Profile.

The great reset is real.

pampering recruits and boosters

Jan 9, 2022, 12:25 PM

As a coach, this may be nothing new... but it just creates that much more of a workload to manage spoiled boosters who want to call shots and entitled 18 year olds that need constant pampering. Add the transfer portal to the mix and it sounds like a nightmare... Hard to blame Joe Brady for wanting to stick to the NFL.

No, but talent does. And now cash buys that talent.
