I do understand that pain, it began two years ago, and I still feel it today. My very best friend ever was an American Rottweiler, and I guess that bc I took the best of care of him through what I fed him and his regular checkups with his Vet, he lived 4 years longer than life expectancy that was 10, and he lived to be 14. Before I had to have him put down, his hair was turning as white as mine has. But even with knowing that I had him longer than his life expectancy, I still feel that it's terrible that they can't live at least as long as their Momma and Daddy. It's been two years, and I miss him as much today as I have since the day he had to be put down. I sure hope that he will be in Heaven when I get there, that would be a blessing for him and me...

The pics are at 10 or 11 months old, and the other was a few weeks before he turned 14. Without any doubt, he was the best friend and buddy that I've ever known, and the only time we were ever separated was a night or two when I was having my back surgeries, and when my wife was pulling in our yard when would come home, I could hear him hollering inside the house like he was being killed bc he was looking out the window when we drove up and he saw me in the truck, and hearing that just made me love him more. Oh yes, I miss him as much as I would miss both arms and legs...

I’m surprised more tnetters aren’t offended at this jerk’s callousness. Belittling someone for loving and missing his cherished pet? Sad state of affairs. But not that surprising in today’s world.
