Well after the 4star Safety commitment yesterday, we are looking good at a little over the half way point in this year's recruiting class. We have 15 committed players , with 10- 4star players and 5- 3star players , we are currently ranked 4th by the 247 industry composite ranking(attachment).
Most of the top uncommitted players are still in position of having Clemson in their top 4 or top 5 schools. The coming weekend of May 30th will go along ways in building this class, and i look forward to some new top commitments.

Any idea how many we take in this class and other than DE, what are the positions of need?

I'm assuming last years 13 commitments was a lower number than expected. My guess is 25 to 27 players this year , maybe a couple more (oversign worthy).
Dabo has alot of players with some serious Clemson interest . Clemson with a great year on the field , with a good group of opponents(LSU , SMU) to offer opportunity for really good visits while Death Valley is rocking, and add to certain positions of need, could make for a banner year for this recruiting class... I look forward to it.

If there is going to be a sting from the defensive recruits we lost last cycle, it will be felt next year big time. If we can backfill this cycle and luck out with some guys that can play in their true freshman year, we can mitigate feeling that sting.

Settle down. If there is going to be a sting from the defensive recruits we lost last cycle, it could be felt two or three years from now but not on the field in 2025.

The only limit is the 105 roster now, but it doesn’t make sense to sign 30 if half are probably going to transfer. The original scholarship and signing limits were to keep alabama from hoarding players from competitors.

Looks like RB is going to be a need. Would love to get a bulldozing RB that can punish DL's and wear them out for a speedy back to gash them afterwards.

This current class is the 2026 class
I believe we'll sign at least 5-8 more guys
Still waiting on highly sought after
D lineman and LBers.
We really need to get busy here.
We currently have 1 D line commit.
That belies our reputation as DLU

Since there are only about 30 5* recruits in every class, they likely require bidding which Dabo would not accept IMO.

You are correct. We have definitely seen that Miami will open the bag. Frankly, im suprised it took this long. Uncle Luke, and those who are like Shapiro (he wasnt alone) will throw rapper level bands of cash at kids to get them to "DA U". They just needed the right Coach to get there and now with the rules or lack thereof, there's no such thing as lack of institutional control really. Besides, what happened to Tennessee? McDonalds bags or Louis V.. makes no difference.

Solid class so far, no top 50 players, most of our 4 stars are in the 120-300 range, but most of our Olineman have national offers, which to me says more than star ratings.. We need Edge rushers, bigly, and will need to close strong for a top 10 class.
