We beat NC State by 10 didn't we? NC State beat Texas Tech, who beat Texas, who lost to Alabama by 1, meaning we would beat them by 9, so we are the clear #1 team.
And if you say well hey now Georgia is the real #1 team, not Bama. Well we beat Wake Forest by 6 didn't we? And Wake beat FSU, who beat LSU, who beat Auburn, who beat Missouri, who only lost to Georgia by 4, so we would beat Georgia by 2.
Just clearing some things up.

Most pollsters probably just look at final scores and don't do any analysis or just repeat what they hear others say. Then you have the obvious homers, since most are local media, who give their team votes when they don't deserve them. I think one of the best examples was Texas going from unranked to 22nd after LOSING to Alabama.

I didn't see a problem with Texas moving into the top 25 after the Bama game. If you truly believe Bama was the #2 team or at least even a top 5 team then I could see the logic in moving a team that nearly beat them into the top 25.

Well I don't believe Bama is the top team and it's going to show real soon, especially if Brice is injured for more than a couple of weeks. Same goes with UGA. They struggled the last 2 weeks with really bad teams. Missouri shut down the run and had a great chance of beating them if not for a couple of missed opportunities.
