There will be 29 teams from the SEC and B1G that rank below Clemson in one of these lists that earn 2X as much from this deal (28 below in both)

That's reality until we can get out of here

I know everyone is freaking out about the CFP payout but I'm actually surprised the B1G and SEC didn't try to twist the knife further (maybe they did and failed).
A 3-3-2-2-1 split on the autobids is pretty good for the ACC and Big 12. I was worried we would only get 1 and the SEC/B1G would push for more at-large bids that would largely get split between them.

I don't think the auto bids beyond Conf Champs is locked in. It sounds like the SEC & B1G will decide that.
I'm sure we will come out on top of that decision. Probably 2 ACC and they count ND as one if ranked to get auto bids.

Whatever the SEC/BIG decide, they will get double or more than ACC. Sanky and ESPN RUN college FB, and they know the ACC is a dead conference walking. They are well aware of the fact that FSU, CLEMSON, MIAMI, and maybe UNC are leaving the ACC. 5 YEARS FROM NOW, THE CFP WILL LOOK LIKE THE NFL PLAYOFF.

Ya gotta hand it to Sankey. He is a political animal and knows how to play the game. Surely he is destined for Democrat Politics.

That was definitely the written end of the ACC. I say written because it was dead before this happened. I don’t think it will impact us as much for the first few years since the ACC agreed to unequal revenue sharing for championships, but it’s going to expedite the gap for everyone else and give even more ammunition for recruiting/transfers/NIL. If we linger in the ACC it’ll kill us. We’ll get in and then be about as competitive as any other group of five team.

Just my 2 cents. Brand value is not determined by asking college football recruits. Now it certainly shows which programs have the attention of future college players. Which is incredibly important in acquiring top talent. But determining brand value by asking recruits is highly volatile. And is in somewhat an indication of the flavor of the month. Also, Clemson benefited in ratings due to being highly ranked. Just like most teams do. Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia all benefited. I do believe, however, that Clemson is more susceptible to ratings decline if they play like they have the last few years. Which isn’t a slight. Just my opinion because Clemson is a smaller school with a slightly smaller fan base. But I sure would like to see you guys and FSU join the B1G. We need all the bigger brands we can get. And we need schools committed to football. Lord knows we have plenty of Indianas and Rutgers.

I agree. Clemsons ratings will slip if our competitiveness continues to slip but the football brand will take a long time to tank. At some point the SEC and BIG will have to trim the fat (Illinois, Vandy, Coots, etc).

This is just the CFP not Conference payouts from TV, etc. Not sure where bowl revenue fits though.
