The offense has been terrible so far. We are a more talented team than the team who upset the Number 1 team in the country last night. Until last night A&M was also terrible on offense. Calzada could not throw it in the ocean if he was standing in the surf prior to last night.
A&M scored 10 points against both Arkansas and Colorado. A Colorado team that has given up 30 plus to SoCal, Minnesota and AZ State An Arkansas team that has given up 89 points in the last two weeks.
I would not be surprised if we lose a couple more games this season but I will also not be surprised if we don’t lose again.
After last night- there are only three teams with defenses playing at an elite level this season- GA, Iowa and Clemson. The old adage that Defense wins Championships is not necessarily true anymore. What is true is that bad defense will prevent you from winning a Championship.
I have watched every team we have remaining on the schedule play. The ##### and UConn are terrible. If we don’t turn the ball over, we only have to improve marginally to beat Louisville, Syracuse and Wake. We can’t get in a shootout with PiTT but their defense is garbage. FSU is has improved from terrible to just bad, that game is at home and we owe them a whipping.
I would imagine as bad as we have played on offense, we are probably still favored in every game.

The fact is that a proven coaching staff and a bunch of raw on-field talent WILL improve as the season progresses. It’s almost like some “fans” want us to utterly fail just to prove the point of their own catastrophic prognostications rather than actually see Clemson overcome adversity and make something of the season. It’s truly confounding.

I agree with most of your post but negative is not strong enough. The posts live in the past and do not accept that it is not ordained that every call goes against us and every game should be a Tiger win. Several undefeated teams lost yesterday including mighty Alabama. No team wins every game, every year.
Our defense is also not great but good. NC State made our d look bad and we have to improve.

I don't know if I would put our defense in the class with Georgia or Iowa at this point, but we are still a very good defense and might be that 3rd best. We only gave up 14 in regulation to NC State despite being on the field for twice as many plays as our offense. State needed a questionable holding call in the first OT to get the touchdown, and then the defense was just gassed to go right back on the field.

When you’re teams like Bama and Clemson, you get everyone’s best shot! It’s their super bowl. Even last night, it was obvious that A&M was playing out of their minds. People tend to do that vs the top dogs. We have punished the ACC for a long time and our opponents are licking their chops since they smell blood in the water. If we can come out with a strong start, I think teams will get into their own heads and fold. We have to come out firing on all cylinders!

We can't pass, can't catch, can't run, can't stay healthy. When we average 6.5 yards a carry with the lead and 5 min left in the game we call pass plays.

I think what is most annoying is not being told up front we aren't going to be as good this year as we have been. We've been getting the coach speak and sunshine pumping that is not translating on the field.

Perhaps I could have worded better“ Our Offense is statistically terrible right now. The talent is there to not be bad. Texas A&M was in the same boat until last night. Iowa was in the bottom ten offensively until yesterday and the are highly ranked.

Success works different ways and Clemson has chosen the Alabamer approach - drunk, obnoxious fans who know more than anyone and can’t handle the slightest bit of adversity.
