are undeniably close this year. Both teams were the #11 seed and both had/have usc upstate and Kentucky in their bracket as well. Just wow.

They need to do away with the geography stuff. Everyone goes to the same places. Like I’m sure Upstate would like to go somewhere else for once

I did some research, so If the regionals were held according to the rpi rankings then both usc upstate and Kentucky would be going to Oregon and WVU would be going to NC. Since Kentucky is the #5 ranked 3 seed and USC upstate is the #5 ranked 4 seed they both would go to the 12 seed. While WVU is the 12th best 2 seed so they would go to Chapel hill to face UNC. We would get the 6th ranked 2 3 and 4 seed, which would be Northeastern, Miami and Saint Mary’s. I think these brackets would be more fair the the one we have now.

I made a mistake with some of the teams. Kentucky would actually stay in Clemson. I actually misranked some teams. I just posted the full regionals on TNET so you can check that out.
