Riley. I think a very strong case can be made that Dabo is meddling in the playcalling because what I see looks IDENTICAL to what Streeter was calling.
I'm looking at tape of Riley at TCU vs. Riley at Clemson. Then looking at some games with Streeter play calls.
Hmmmmm.

Yes Riley came to Clemson only to let Dabo absolutely shred his reputation without saying a single word about it. That makes complete and total sense.

You think that when Dabo was recruiting him he told him that he would be stuck with Dabo’s bizarre personnel decisions on both the roster and the staff and have limited autonomy in the offense?

Very simple I would leak it that I’m not allowed to call plays, only an idiot would let someone else tarnish their reputation. He very well might be an idiot.

While arguing that it makes sense to you that Riley would call an offense that looks exactly like Streeter’s and Elliott’s.

The TCU offense that squeaked by one of the weakest schedules in the country, took advantage of of Michigans sign stealing operation by taking the time to change everything, and then doing absolutely nothing against Georgia yeah I’ll get on that. If you watched that offense you would see Max improvising and making plays a lot more than players being schemed open.

The offense doesn't look anything like TCU under Riley

and I mean it's been fundamentally the same for Dabo's tenure, so, yeah.

The team's slide began 4 years ago. We have had different players, coaches, and played different teams, but the one constant has been the HC.

Against CDS.
BV…..the “less is more” guy.
Dabo has ALWAYS dabbled in the offense. It is his right. This is a long known fact. It’s not even up for debate anymore.
This looks nothing like TCU’s offense, which had overall less talent. You have to ask yourself why.
IF CDS Was already an offensive mastermind, there would’ve been no need for Chad Morris, etc…. to come in and fix things…

Let's take the transfer portal, recruiting, and player development discussions off the table...
I think our biggest problem now, and in the last (4) years, has been play-calling.
If this is Dabo's offensive scheme, he needs to let Riley retool it or implement a new scheme.
If this is Riley's best product, then we need to challenge him to innovate or find someone who can.
The Dabo/Riley play-calling aspect is still murky even when both have made statements. But it's still a problem.
IF Dabo is putting the reigns on Riley and the playbook, that would be the worst case scenario in my opinion because at this point we need to be open to anything.
If we call another bubble/screen pass (especially on a 3rd and 14) I might soil myself and refuse to wash.

There are only two options:

Either Riley is running the offense with complete or relative autonomy, or he's not. If he's not, then clearly Dabo's involvement implicates him, as it's his baby and the results suck.
On the other hand, if Riley IS running it with complete or relative autonomy, then that implicates them both, as no HC should sit by and allow that level of poor results persist for long without intervention, especially since it's been the case with prior OC's.
Dabo either meddles too much with the offense, or has made some less than stellar hires (or both). Either problem isbhis doing. Really, many of these problems go further back, and few may want to hear it, but Scott was no great play-caller either (serviceable at best) as we made great play-calling less important by out-talenting everyone so thoroughly.

What's dumb AF is thinking the offense has changed. It hasn't. Sounds like it's you who's watched all of 15 minutes of film.

I thought Lincoln Riley’s brother would have the balls to stand up to Dabo like BV or Chad Morris but apparently not.
This is the same tiring offense Dabo ran with Elliott and then Streeter.

Look at the plays in 1st half. I can only criticise one, and it was a bailout run on 3rd and long. Our failure on offense was entirely due to miscues and penalties. 3 by Randall.
